Max and Lilly has outdone itself!!
I really do love it when I actually get a great product from Amazon, and can truly leave an honest review, with actual hopes of being able to help someone make a decision regarding their purchase. I ordered the Max and Lilly High loft bed about four months ago. I knew I wanted to hold off leaving a review in order to really be able to test the product. I started the process of redecorating my daughters bedroom, from top to bottom, and the first thing on the agenda was to find a high loft bed that, 1. Came with storage shelves, 2. Came with a desk, and 3. Had a great price. I am happy to report that the Max and Lilly High loft bed hit the mark in each way. I searched and searched for the perfect high loft bed, I found plenty that came with a high price tag, at least 8 or 900 bucks, and all the more affordable ones didn’t look as good, or looked flimsy, had horrible reviews or didn’t have a desk but had shelves, didn’t have shelves but had a desk. This loft bed is super sturdy. My daughter has a thin frame, but her and her brother both sleep in this bed all the time. She also just had a sleep over and her and two girls all slept in this bed. I don’t sleep in this bed, but I have to get on it every day in order to make her bed, and I feel 100 confident while up there, that the bed is sturdy. The storage space is exactly what I was looking for. I haven’t decided exactly how I’m going to style the shelves, but what ever my little heart was to desire to put on them, I would have the space. The desk area is small, but it has enough space for a stylish lamp and clock. I am thinking about using one shelf for her desk organizer, pencil cups and paper trays, but not for sure yet. My daughter absolutely loves this bed so much. Ever since she has gotten her bed it has made her appreciate her room, I also find her spending more time at her desk, reading books, and doing little girly things. The only things I have to say about this bed negatively is 1. The ladder. I read some other reviews with the same complaint, saying it was cheap and not sturdy. I think if it would have been made to stand straight up, it would have been better. It hasn’t cracked or anything like that, but I remind the kids daily of what the reviews said and to just use it to hurry and get on or off the bed. 2. After my husband, finished putting the bed together we decided it would look better in a different spot. The bed is way to heavy and sturdy to move by yourself so him and a friend had to manually lift the bed up and move it. While doing so, the bed cracked a little at the top. I’m not sure what this says about the quality, or if it is a given that this would happen, but just letting you know. Personally, it doesn’t bother me, but like I said, I just stay on top of my kids about how it’s a “cheap” bed and we have to be careful with it. When I say cheap, I don’t mean like that, but technically speaking, it’s not a 1500 dollar Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel bed, but to me, it’s just as good. I spent 550 bucks and I don’t regret it one bit, not to mention my daughter is in lala land every night in her dream bedroom with her dream high loft bed. If you’re on a budget like me, but still desire the finer things, and like to hunt down just as good quality dupes, this is the route to go!!!!

Great bed for a fair price
This is a great bed and price is fair. It took me a bit of time to build it but I did alone. So if you have someone else with you it will be a lot easier. It’s sturdy and well constructed. Hight is perfect. Great for an age of of 7-10 year old. It has held up pretty well for around a year now. It’s comfortable and a bit modular as well if you would like to ad things to it. Space underneath is very usable and again perfect for that age group and able to move underneath without issues. Color is great as well. Would highly recommend it.

Exactly what I wanted. Use a rubber mallet and drill.
It’s been about two months now and my daughter and I love this bed. She is four and a confident climber, and I have my full size bed underneath in an L shape in case she tips over the rail. I wouldn’t recommend this bed for that age unless you have this set up and you’re child is confident climbing up and down ladders by themselves. I bought this kind of bed for that exact reason, I wanted the L shape so she could have her own bed without loosing space in our shared room. I love the bookcase feature, and the reason a full size fits underneath is because you can put the ladder on any long side you want, so I put it in front of the book case. My bed fits just fine underneath with a few inches clearance on each side.I am more than confident with furniture assembly, It took me a whole day to build by myself. I wish the screws were clearly labeled because some of them look very similar in the instructions. It’s helpful to look at the part number and pay attention to the quantity they give, then label them accordingly…that will help you differentiate between which screws to use. YOU WILL NEED A RUBBER MALLET AND DRILL OR IMPACT. There are braces and slats that don’t have predrilled holes for the screws. It is in the instructions, but not in a very noticeable spot. There is definitely an off gassing which my asthma didn’t like at all, it lasted maybe a week. I felt like I was breathing in wood dust. But once that went away I haven’t had any issues. Wiping all the pieces down to remove dust might help with that, idk.I saw people complain about sturdiness, this bed is as sturdy as it gets for a loft bed, as long as you’re putting it together properly it’s not going to come crashing down and it doesn’t feel like an earth quake every time you climb in the bed. It’s going to move, that’s normal.Overall I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. It saves space, provides extra storage, is sturdy, and my kid isn’t kicking me in the back anymore. It’s a win all around. I’d buy it again.
