Bought for car paint correction work (and used on my bike for fun!). Consistent accuracy, easy to hold and use and calibration was a breeze. It comes with a sleeve style case. Great for keeping it away from knocks and bumps with my other kit, but this case is not waterproof. It is very compact though. Found it better than another (pricier) model on amazon, because it feels really secure and comfortable in my hand whilst using it. Turning on and calibrating is easy and consistent between the 2 different substrate blanks given (aluminium and ferrous/iron). Very quick to use. Turn on, wait 5s, take readings immediately. A audible bleep tells you the measurement is taken, ready for the next one. Backlight is so practical too - mainly if needing to take photos! I found this unit an overall bargain and am very pleased with it so far.

I bought this product because I had a suspition that my bonet had been resprayed. Before I went hammer and tongues in with the wet sanding, I neded to know how thick the clearcoat was. Although this doesn't tell me how much paint to clear coat, it does tell me that it was resprayed, and to proceed with caution with my machine polishing. I was worried about getting somethign cheap, as you can buy ones for thousands, but this was good enough for what I needed.

In my view this meter is good for basic paint thickness check. Unfortunately for myself it wasn’t so good as when trying to check the paint thickness after the car repair the readings weren’t stable and were showing different measurements. So I had to send it back for a refund and buy more expensive ( double price) equipment. Once again you get what you pay

Tasti in gomma serigrafati a caldo gradevoli al tatto e comodo display retroilluminato. ACCESSORI 🪛🧾 Cavetto usb di alimentazione (senza spina non fornita) e manuale d'uso in italiano. CALIBRAZIONE 🎛 Non proprio immediata. Niente di trascendentale, basterá leggere il manuale e seguire le istruzioni. Si tratta di premere due tasti in buona sostanza. Piú che altro bisogna fare varie prove. CONSIGLI 🔔 Prima di un controllo da fare su un veicolo, conviene fare una calibratura veloce sfruttando la piastrina metallica e, la piastrina trasparente in pvc che abbia una scala di valore che si avvicina di piú al caso nostro. Tuttavia non abbiate paura, perché se tarata a 101 micron, in caso di valori intorno a 260 la percentuale di errore e solo di 3 micron. NE VALE LA PENA? 🤔 Per un appassionato o per un centro detailing assolutamente si. I valori sono piuttosto precisi con un basso margine di errore, a patto di calibrare bene e di saper usare il prodotto posizionandolo correttamente. E IL PREZZO? 💸 Piú che onesto se consideriamo che i marchi blasonati partono da circa 140 euro, e non é che siano poi cosi ineccepibili nel funzionamento. CONCLUSIONI 📝 E si, se siete appassionati non potete non averlo, anche e soprattutto per il rapporto qualitá prezzo. Una chicca che all'occorrenza torna utilissima per verifiche di lavori fatti in prima persona, o per scovare venditori di auto furbetti o carrozzieri non proprio onesti, che mascherano riparazioni magari fatte anche male post incidente.
