Very attractive and good value for such a large size. I love it, but not the hanger.
This bug hotel is really very nice. Well made, attractive and a good size. It took pride of place on my wall only hours after it arrived. It has an open front so I don't think the weatherproof question is applicable and time will tell about sturdiness. Nothing lasts for ever sat outside in the rain. The only issue I have is with the mounting, a single flimsy hanger at the apex of the roof. It doesn't seem strong enough for the weight of the bug hotel and with only one fitting it will move in high winds. It is partially hidden behind the hotel, good esthetically but it makes it difficult to fit a secure retainer. All you can do is hang the hotel on a screw with a thin head and I am sure that it will not survive over time. I fitted a small strip of wood under my bughouse which stops it swinging and I could then brace the house against the top fitting. An easy fix and I am now just waiting for guests to arrive.

A good buy.
A lovely bee house with many interesting "homes" in it so plenty to watch and share with children. It is heavy so will need a secure fixing.

The Bees are loving it
Lovely little hotel which I bought to go alongside the 5 year old hotel that had no more room at the inn with 30 bees buzzing about trying to find an available space. Arrived next day. At first I think it was too new & they didn't trust it or maybe they didn’t like the new smell as they'd crawl in but then go back to the old one but, 3 days later & 3 of the holes are filled already and several more have females busily building. It's a nice sturdy construction. I wish the bottom pine cone part was either filled more as it's half empty or openable so you can add your own. The top part has 4 wooden triangles but there's no instruction on how they're meant to be arranged & just fall over flat mostly. Fortunately that's openable so I might put something else there instead or add to the triangle sections such as wood shavings so they stay upright
