This shoe works for one-handed people and anyone needing Velcro fastening
I bought these for my brother-in-law who needed a supportive yet comfortable shoe that was well-made and would last. He had a stroke and could only use one hand to put on his shoes. This shoe not only fit well, but he could get it on and off because of the Velcro fastening. I bought this shoe repeatedly over several years. He would always smile and say, "ah, that feels great" when I would put them on.

Right size, right fit, right brand
In recent years I have found it increasingly harder to find shoes in the right size, are comfortable, and don't break the bank. As I generally were my shoes for daily wear I needed something that would allow for walking 2 miles every morning and continue throughout the day. The Dr. Scholl shoes met that need. I would buy them again.

I really liked them, but...
No, really. I do like these shoes a lot. They fit well and feel comfortable. I'm not sure about the insoles. I never keep the ones that come with new shoes anyway. And these have gel soles. I weigh 300 pounds. Gel soles just pop within a day or two for me anyway. But with the $15 Dr Scholl's replacement soles they have great support and fit my huge size 13-wide feet very well. They look good, feel good, and are easy to get on and off.The tread is pretty good too. I wore 'em at work where the floors are often greasy and slippery and generally have a pretty fair time keeping on my feet. They aren't completely non-slip, but still pretty good.I am disappointed that they didn't last as long as expected. It'll be seven months next week and they have started coming unstitched now so I'll need new ones. Most shoes last me about a year or slightly less. Yeah, that's with daily wear and fairly hard use. These went only slightly better than half of that. Maybe two thirds if you wanna be generous. Not best, but they also cost about two thirds what my previous pair ran me, so it's kind of a wash that way.Overall, I do like them. A lot, even. But I'll be buying something else for my next pair. Even if it costs more, I'd rather have something that lasts longer.
