Excellent quality wool US made..
Tried many and these simply are the best for Midwest winters. Slippery but REAL wool fibers. Not a chore glove, a recreational glove

Quality Glove inserts!
Just like the ones I used to wear in service! Warm, light weight and great to wear under outer leather gloves. Quality wool is comfortable and they fit well.

Utilitarian glove liner
Great as a mitten liner but probably not very durable to use raw dog outside of an outer shell. Could be a great running glove but without phone capacity fingers.

Wool gloves worth the price
The gloves are as-expected for affordable priced wool gloves, and definitely worth the cost. The sizing is accurate (a size 2 fit my small hands the same way a โSโ does in other knit gloves), and the material feels like a typical wool blend (not as smooth as high end wool, but comfortable). The quality of the knit is inconsistent with a lot of loose threads, but some will likely block out after hand washing. For the price, Iโm not disappointed. The thickness is warm enough for chilly weather or brief periods in the cold, but those gloves definitely need a separate shell (ex: a leather chopper mitt) for extended cold weather exposure. They are still warmer than similar acrylic gloves.

Warm, versatile, and long-lasting. Good customer service from McGuire
I've been using the military-type gloves, with separate wool inners and leather outers, for decades. I still have one pair of inners that I bought in 1980; they're a bit frayed, but still very usable. Once on a hike with my Dad, he mentioned that his hands were cold, and I asked if he wanted half of my gloves? He said No, of course, thinking I was joking about giving him one glove. But I gave him the outers, and kept the inners, and we were both comfortable. Nowadays, the military outers seem to be harder to find. But you can buy a pair of inners, and then combine them with some good leather work gloves from your favorite hardware store. The folks at McGuire were very helpful and patient when I had trouble figuring out the right size.

Great Wool Insert Glove
Nice fit. When paired with an overglove, it makes for a very warm winter glove.

Good but would spend more on better quality next time
As a wool blend, material is thin (in a good way) but still pretty itchy. Next time, will splurge on a pair made of merino

Military Surplus (New) so designed exceptionally well!
Have gone hiking with these in -25c (-13f) and my hands kept toasty warm. Own several of them and have strategically placed them in my jackets, parkas, etc. Always.
