12.8W/mK thermal Pad

I was on the fence about this brand compared to others, but I took a chance and don’t regret it. I used these to replace the thermal pads of my rtx 3090. If you know anything about these ampere cards, they get hot! After replacement, my temps are lower than when factory new. I’m running a +1000 memory over clock and +160 gpu over clock, factory air cooling. My gpu temp peaks at 70c, memory at 75c, and hot spot 82c. I was shocked. A++. Definitely my new go to for thermal pads. Don’t hesitate, get ‘em.

I'm not using these on anything as extreme as an actual CPU, so I can't really verify how well they work for anything that extreme (paste still reigns supreme for real processors) but for what little I've used this on so far it seems to work fairly well. This stuff is strangely tacky. It's almost putty-like. On the one hand it tears very easily (so try to get an application right on the first try) but on the other hand it also is a bit more suitable for some less... standard uses. For example, stuffing into a GPU over coils that whine badly. However, it doesn't actually work like real putty, so don't think you can shape it to fit something. It's just a bit sticky and tacky so more likely to remain in place if crammed in. This offers three decent thicknesses to choose from (though I wouldn't complain if the sheets themselves were larger) so you can probably find a fit for most applications. All in all a pretty decent product.

(1/2023 Edit to say that a year later I'm still happy. A few months ago I bought a cheap ROG Strix RX580 to play around with. The thermals weren't bad but I decided to repaste and repad the card anyway and I saw similar temperature drops. I don't run an OC daily but it did seem to OC a little better after heat soaking with Furmark and then running Heaven. Scored about 25pt higher in Heaven than before the pads/paste.) I bought these to upgrade my RX 580 and they really seem to work well. I took some thermal readings under gaming loads, Furmark and Heaven and then repasted the GPU die with Artic MX-4 and took the same readings again after about a week of use. Following those readings I replaced the pads with these Owltree pads and repasted with MX-4 again. I also added a pad between the back of the GPU die and the metal backplate and comparing thermal images of the backplate with and without the pads shows much better heat transfer in both stock and custom locations. Under Furmark the Max temp with stock pads was 71.5C, average 69C and with the Owltree pads max was 64C and average was 63C, so significantly lower and less variation. (Ambient air was 65F +/- 1 degree for all tests) My only criticism and warning is to expect wasted material with the .5mm thickness. It's a real pain to work with and the biggest problem is getting it to release from the clear backing film without ripping. That said, you get 100x100mm of material so there's plenty of extra.

When it comes to ensuring your electronic devices run smoothly and efficiently, having the right thermal interface material is crucial. The thermal pads offered here truly stand out, and I couldn't be happier with their performance. Excellent Thermal Conductivity (5/5): One of the most impressive features of these thermal pads is their exceptional thermal conductivity. With a rating of 12.8 W/mK, they outshine traditional thermal pads by a significant margin. This means that they excel at efficiently transferring heat away from your components, ensuring your electronics stay cool even during intensive tasks. Reliable & Durable (5/5): These thermal pads are not only efficient but also built to last. They can handle a rated voltage of up to 9.8KV, making them safe for various applications. Their high-temperature performance is excellent, and they exhibit qualities such as being non-toxic, odorless, anti-corrosive, wear-resistant, anti-static, and fire-retardant. This level of reliability is exactly what I was looking for in a thermal interface material. Versatile Application (5/5): These pads are incredibly versatile, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. Whether it's your computer's motherboard, motor foot pads, household appliances, or automotive machinery, these thermal pads have you covered. The ability to work with any material requiring filling and cooling modules is a real plus. Convenient & Affordable (5/5): The dimensions of 100x100mm are more than sufficient for most applications, and the ability to cut them to size as needed is a convenient feature. The package includes three different thicknesses (0.5mm, 1mm, and 1.5mm), giving you flexibility to meet your specific requirements. It's also worth noting that this product provides excellent value for the quality it offers. In conclusion, these thermal pads have exceeded my expectations in every way. They are not only highly efficient at conducting heat but also versatile, reliable, and affordable. If you're looking to keep your electronics cool and running optimally, these thermal pads are a fantastic choice. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable thermal interface materials.

Great thermal pads for a fraction of the price of most big brands. They work up to spec and keeps your gpu and components working full performance without breaking the bank. I've maintained plenty of GPUs like nvidia 3000, 4000, 5000 series whit these pads and they all still works and perform same or even better than stock pads. Get them you won't be disappointed.

With one pack, I was able to refurbish a motherboard and three video cards (though I did use high-end grease, not pads, for the GPU itself). In every case, temperatures were drastically better versus the stock pads. Note that these are not as rubbery as your typical 3W/mK pads that ship on OEM devices, so they're also not nearly as easy to work with. These are more like preformed thermal paste you might find on OEM heatsinks, and are probably not ideal in situations where your device will be disassembled and reassembled regularly. But for long-term applications, these are really good. Just be careful and wear gloves if possible when handling. I've also found that the flat end of a scribe tool (aka "spudger") to be extremely helpful in working with these pads. If you take your time and do things right, the high temperature capacitance is worth the extra effort.

The pads had masses of 16/33/51 grams for 0.5/1.0/1.5mm thickness. Assuming all three are the same material, they’re close to 3.4 g/cm^3 which would be consistent with a 12 W/mK class thermal pad (ceramic fillers are much denser than silicone). I believe these were a good value and I’d buy again

I'm a fairly advanced builder. I've been building my own PCs (and others) for 30+ years now. I'm also a perfectionist. First, the good: The pads seem to be the correct sizes. The material seems right. The packaging was fine. The price was reasonable. Only one complaint: The pad has a clear piece of backing on one side, and a light blue translucent piece of backing on the other side. The light blue one pretty much falls off, which is fine (you want fairly easy removal of the backing). The clear stuff, though, is permanently attached to the pads. For the 1mm pad, this is almost tolerable, because you can take a razor blade and carefully insert it between the pad and the backing, and then use that little bit of pad that comes up to pull the pad off of the backing. But the .5mm pad is too thin to pull off of the backing. You literally have to slice it off the backing, the whole way. Fortunately, I am well equipped with tools, and experienced, but if you don't have a couple extra hours to spare, you might consider finding a pad that has more friendly backing. I always feel badly giving bad news reviews, but this produce tempted me to say some pretty bad words working with it. Hopefully the manufacturer will read this and improve the product.

Works perfectly for me With kritical 1mm And with Noctua thermal paste

I was concerned about high VRAM memory temperatures on my RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X (GDDR6X is known to run hot). I was hitting 96C during Speedway Stress Test. I replaced with these pads and the temps dropped to 90C on VRAM which I am much more comfortable with. Better performance than the original manufacturer pads for sure. I like that it comes in 1.5mm, 1.0mm, 0.5mm sheets in the same pack. I required 2mm on VRAM so I stacked 1.5 + 0.5 to achieve. No issues separating the clear plastic protector off the back. Just use a utility knife to gently insert between the layers and lift. Not a single issue.

Excelente producto

i bought this to repair a hd6970m inside an imac, i baked the card first then waited for this to arrive. only needed small portions from each of the thickness. some i needed to overlap a few pads to make it touch the heatsink. in the end the card is working 100% and temperature is great with new thermal paste and this pad. if you are baking video cards which i highly recommend to try first on artifact/random reboots. then get this one. this is a thought out product. all other more expensive pads you need to buy separate thickness and this one has all 3 of the most common thickness and you can stack if needed, pretty sure only imac's weird heatsink you need to stack to match the original paste area, for anything else just use the same thickness on all the VRMs.
