Help Stop My Dogs from Barking At Everything
The media could not be loaded. Funny how one person does something then it seems and then the next thing everyone is doing it. This will be the 3rd set I have bought for family and friends.I had bought a pet training collar for my dogs because they would bark at EVERYTHING! Same man for the past 10 years walking past our house, a dog barking two neighborhoods away even a leaf blowing in the wind for pete's sake! So I had bought a training collar after trying every training method I heard or read about. After using a remote training collar, I only used the sound and vibration modes, within a couple of days the barking was cut in half and after a couple of weeks it was like I had new dogs! The iPetDog Training Collar comes with:- Receiver and Collar. The collar when buckled measures about 25 1/2 inches but has about 2 inches extra at the end. Also you can use your dogs collar as long as it is able to slip into the receiver.- The Dual USB Charging Cable with AC AdapterYou are able to charge both the remote and the receiver at the same time. You can plug into the wall or a USB port.- Two Sets of Metal Contact Points with Two sets of Silicone Covers. There is a normal size and one slight longer for dogs with longer hair.- Plastic Tester. To check that the receiver is working.- Remote with LED Screen and Flashlight. The training collar is very easy to use. I bought this for my 75 year old mom to help her calm her four yapping dogs, who were like my dogs, constantly barking at everything. Believe me if she can work the remote ANYONE can.The remote has very easy to read LED screen that lights up. My camera had to be in the perfect angle or the lighting would just mess up the video. I promise you the screen is very clear to read.I was able to pair the receiver and remote very easily. As a matter of fact the remote can handle two receivers, so if you have more than one dog at a time to train, you could buy an extra receiver to pair with this remote too.The training collar can work at a very long distance. The description states 330 yards which is about 1000 feet. I don't have the need to use it that far away but I did use it at 400 ft and it worked fine. The training collar has 3 different modes: sound, vibration and shock. The sound mode only has only level. The vibration and shock levels range from 1 to 100.I am not a fan of shock so I don't use the mode. Using only sound and vibration, I was able to train my dogs to not bark at everything and there is peace in my house once more. I love the fact that training collars have sound and vibrations modes these days. When training collar first came out there was only the shock mode, that I never considered using one. But then I found that the training collars have sound and vibration and I just had to try on my yapping dogs. The iPetDog Training Collar even has an LED flashlight built into the remote. If you need to train your dog then this collar can really help. Using the training collar really cuts the time that it takes to train your dog. I can certainly testify to that. I was amazed how quickly my dogs were trained, after years of trying every method not working, it only took a couple of days to cut the barking in half and only a couple of weeks to have them just almost fully stop barking at nothing.iPetDog Dog Training Remote Collar LCD Waterproof Beep Vibra 330 Yards Rechargeable Rainproof

Dissapointed in this product.
I figured I'd ignore the one or two bad reviews, and give this a try. I even bought the protection warranty just in case. Anyways, this may be good for a 20lb dog, with no fur. But my medium sized dog (heeler) couldn't even feel the shock. I felt it myself on the max level, and it felt like how licking a battery might feel. Basically nothing. The vibrate didn't work, and the beep isn't much either. I would not recommend this product for anything over 20 lbs. Even then it may not work well for you. The only pro, was the shipping was fast, and the return was simple.

Collar goes to sleep mode
The collar goes to sleep mode pretty quickly, and the remote takes quite a while to re-connect. The puppy will do something wrong randomly, and I press the vibration button to communicate its wrong but it does not work. By the time is reconnects many minutes later, it's too late to discipline. It only works well if you don't let the collar go to sleep

Wish the charge would last longer
The charge doesn't last very long so not a great buy.

Great way to assist training a dog
This collar is amazing, I can't believe I waited so long to get one. I really thought that using something like this was cruel and I still hesitate to mention it to certain people since "shock collar" has such a negative designation. I tell people this is an "E-collar" and explain to them that it has a pager / vibrate option that I use 99% of the time and the other option is something that feels like a TENS unit that makes the muscles contract.I have a 2 year old pit/poodle/pug mix and he could not be trusted near the door or anywhere outside where he could possibly run away. While on the leash, he pulled constantly unless I put the collar around the top of his neck and really put a lot of effort into getting him to not pull. I wanted to be able to take him on hikes without the leash and a friend recommended this product. I did a lot of googling on the best way to train him, but I ended up mostly just using trial and error. I tried the collar on myself first just to see how it felt and it was not bad. I ended up using a low setting of "20" for my dog which worked 95% of the time (occasionally I had to go up to 30% if he was chasing a squirrel or something).I spent about 2 hours a day for a few days having him follow me around, buzzing him when he left my side and stopping the buzzing when he got to my side. I basically played keep away and had him try to stay with me. Then I took him for a walk in the neighborhood with no leash and a small string attached to his collar (just in case the e-collar failed me) and I would let him go 40+ ft away if necessary and use the e-collar to get him back. After a week of that I felt confident enough to take him out without a string and we had no issues. After two weeks I rarely would have to use the "shock" and could just hit the vibrate button and he would come running back to my side. It's been about 2 days and he's almost to the point that he doesn't need the collar. I often never have to hit a button when we're on our walks and can just give him verbal commands to come back to me. I've even taken him for a walk a few times and realized half way through that the collar wasn't even on!I'm going to try to make a video of what I did to train him to share with the others. I can tell that Pepe is much happier now and has so much more fun going on walks and being able to explore on his own without constantly pulling on a leash. We've been on hikes through the woods and he has so much fun running around smelling things. This product is great, it does not hurt the dog and has greatly improved his quality of life.
