Very detailed and useful but very small print and huge size make it a difficult read
It’s a doorstop of a book. The contents are excellent and useful as a study bible but the print is too small for my eyes. Personal size is a misnomer

Excellent bible and study source!
The cover protector arrived ripped and bent, but the bible itself is good. It is large, but SUCH a great resource for those learning about the faith, or those already strong believers who really want to get to know and understand what it all means. I highly recommend this as a bible and as a study book!

Now I realize that it's definitely one of the best gifts I ever gave her
I gifted this Bible to Mum for Christmas. Now I realize that it's definitely one of the best gifts I ever gave her. She was really happy and excited - because she knew this was a new beginning - of how she could and would read and understand the Bible. It's exactly as it was described on Amazon. The delivery too was within the committed time frame. Thanks Team!!!

Just what I needed
I have used the Life Application NIV bible for years as the textual notes/profiles etc make understanding the bible so much easier, but it is a huge and heavy book to lug around. I got a Kindle 9 months ago and love it, so naturally, the opportunity to combine the two was irresisitable...even at over £16. I had concerns that the navigation facility would be difficult and slow as the sample I downloaded did not allow exploration of this but this is not the case. I use a one-year reading system, so at one sitting I go from Old Testament, to New Testament, then Psalms and then Proverbs and although to get from one book to another requires going to the contents table, this can be done quickly. The links to the notes for each verse is one touch back and forth and as easy to use as the paper version, I am very pleased with this. An added bonus with the kindle version is the ability to one touch click to any cross ref. With the paper version, this would require manually looking it up. There is no search facility to take you directly to a given book & verse but as stated before, the navigation via the contents table is quick and takes me no longer than flicking through the books in the paper version. The only downside I have found is that the timelines and maps don't work at all! This is not a major issue for me as I rarely use them and still have the paper version if I need them. The convienience of having all this information in such a portable form has made this well worth the money for me.

Easy to read and understand
My husband had problems with reading his old Bible, so I started to look on a different version of it, more practical, and one that gives explanatory text within more complicated story's. I stopped to this one, and he approved few days later after comparing with other Bibles his friends have.It is more expensive, actually very expensive but worth it, it comes in a beautiful package, and the cover is beautiful leather, the print is large and the text very helpful, so we pay for two qualities which others do not have. Saying that, who ever get this bible has to take care with the pages, are very thin and fragile, is not a book that you can throw about, it needs care as the subject of it is, sensitive.

I have this in paper form and love it apart from its weight
I have this in paper form and love it apart from its weight. The "tablet" form is of course much lighter. It is mainly for this that I needed the stylus as the list of chapters for each book are so close together it is difficult to pick a chapter with even quite a small finger. Also when I have been reading the bible and close down, when I go back to it, it has no heading of where I am. The bookmark function is invaluable but it would be helpful if each page was headed with the location. There is a lot more information in the "tablet" edition than my book edition which is copyright 1984. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about the Bible. I would think it great for all kinds of students. It makes fascinating reading.

All the goodness, a fraction of the weight
The printed Life Application Stury Bible is a heavy beast and probably rather better laid out than the Kindle version, but all the contents are there if you get used to where to find them and it is a lot lighter. The navigation when trying to use the LASB on an Android Kindle reader is pretty bad - you can't get back out of the footnotes without going back to the main menu. Bit for a real Kindle reader, it is brilliant.

How great is God
I actually thought I had ordered the Hodder and Stoughton publication rather than Zondervan which is American so not sure whether I was sent the wrong one or not maybe I am wrong but it is great. I t does seem smaller than the Kingsway publication though. Has loads of information/time lines, maps and bible texts are shown in relation to today's life. Thoroughly recommended.
