Give these a shot! You may find you like them better than anything else!!
Very nice. Different tone than any other picks in my collection. Pick material has HUGE effect on guitar tone. I have a collection of picks even though I suck as a guitar player. Everything from Tortex to nylon to these to a piece of amber. I like the warmth of these. I was super surprised at how much I like them. Can not wait to try other picks from this company. I like the depression on one side it helps hold the pick. If you have trouble keeping hold of these picks you could use some stair tread grip sheet material and cut a small piece to give you added grip if your hands get sweaty etc. Very nice, glad I found these add on's when I ordered....Oct 2019 I still like these. They do wear the coating off coated strings in the picking area. And for those who wonder, I dropped my pick tray and missed picking one of these up. My dog never misses finding anything I drop and leave. So after he was done biting it there were small strips of wood left behind. When I drop and miss a nylon pick he puts little bite marks same with the tortex. The wood, was toast! I still love my dog!

Great Picks
These are excellent picks that provide the warm, thick tone of rosewood picks. I bought these because they were cheaper than than the Pickboy Rosewood jazz picks. I purchased a pickboy locally for eight dollars and it quickly wore down during one afternoon of playing on and off for six hours. The Clayton picks come with very sharp points but they gradually wear down. After several hours of playing, the pick didn't show any sign of wear. I am able to rehearse and perform with these picks without having to worry about wearing them down.A few cons:Clayton's do not have a groove in the back for the index finger as the pickboys do. My friends found the pickboy to be more comfortable but I didn't have a preference.Clayton's wooden picks are noticeably larger than most other standard picks. This is detrimental and beneficial. If you're used to playing with a jazz pick, you might find that these are like playing with a brick at first. I quickly adapted to the size (it is slightly wider than a dunlop ultex sharp and a bit thicker than 3mm stubby/s-stone at the top going to about 1mm at the tip). The larger size also allows it to be easier to grip. I haven't had it slip on me (unlike the tiny pickboy jazz--I often found I was strumming with my index nail than the pick) while playing. If you can find them at a local shop, buy them!

These will have a positive impact
I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years playing with everything between a thin pick to today where my main pick size is 1.0mm. That said these picks will affect your tone in a positive way. I never thought this would happen, but somehow the wooden pick adds to the “flavour” of your tone. More low end and upper end clarity will be evident, better pick control will happen, clearer chord separation WILL occur. I will only use wooden, bone or, horn picks, as my tone is that much better; to think a pick would make such a difference. Yes I recommend these pick to any player looking to improve their tone.

These are very good looking picks
These are very good looking picks.I bought three sets, 2 were Xmas presents and I had to have a set. These are my first wooden picks so my comments may reflect the nature of all wooden picks, not just these.I love the thumb groove !They give my acoustics a much more mellow tone, which I do like. But that also means you have to be more aggressive to get volume out of the instrument.I'm not sure if it is the thickness or just the way I'm holding them, but I tend to leave the pick a bit close to the string and am getting what I call "pick buzz" if I don't pay attention.I tried sanding one down to a thinner edge and it seems to help, but being wood, you can't make it as thins a plastic pick.

Wish I had found them sooner.
I've been playing guitar for 20 years and this is my new favorite pick. I wish I had come across them sooner. As someone who has used mainly 351 style picks the only thing I can say is that these feel so natural compared to celluloid and nylon. If I was to sum it up, I would say it's like playing a 351 crossed with a Dunlop Stubby but with less friction than either. And the indentation is only on one side, which makes it adaptable to different playing styles.I'm not a huge believer in the pick contributing a lot to tone, but it certainly contributes to feel and attack. The shape helps make string skipping cleaner (for me), the material has the perfect amount of friction, and the shape keeps me from having to shift my grip. Tortex sharps are too pointy for me, Dunlop Jazz III's are to small in my fingers, but this is the perfect balance between shape and material for me. They also work amazing for my bass guitars. Couldn't be happier.

My new favorite picks! Much better than I'd even hoped.
These took a long time to ship (though several weeks less than was initially advertised), but were totally worth the wait. I didn't have high expectations, frankly--this was an impulse buy, a novelty--but the first minute of playing changed that. These fit really snugly in the hand, have an amazing attack (both strong AND carved to slip naturally in and out of the strings quickly), and sound slightly warm, especially on the lower three strings. The high notes, on the other hand, remain bright and clear, unlike with some other fat picks I've used that tend to dampen the high notes. I'm soooo glad I bought these. I feel like I play more accurately, and with a better tone, when I use these.I don't think I initially noticed that this comes with 3 of them, but it does--bonus! No doubt I'll give at least one to a guitar-playing friend.

Love them!
So I bought these just to try. I Love Them! They give my acoustic guitar a very warm sound. When I play my Taylor 214 CE its like having TWO acoustic guitars. One that's sharp and clean and one that's warm and soft. You NEED these picks if you want variety in your acoustic guitar sound. Just PERFECT! Get them. You will not be sorry!!!

Excelente

Warm tone great control
I like the feel they stay in place, I really like them for single note fast picking such as a bluegrass fiddle tune. They create a warm tone. I am really satisfied and will certainly order more in the future.

Bought these for my boyfriend as he'd been wanting quality guitar picks for a while. He was beyond excited and so very pleased with these items. I've played my guitar with them as well and am blown away at how soft it makes it sound. Truly acoustic vibes and i love it.

They are okay
I am sure they work for some people but for me it is like playing guitar with a hockey stick.
