Why does it say this cannot be shipped with Prime?

Because this product is not fullfilment amazon..

Tried to order, says address is not deliverable?? Ordered tons of items from Amazon!

I had same issue. I live in Chicago, lived at same address for 7 yrs now, have had all shapes, sizes, weight, etc. shipped successfully, but this won't ship here. Tried switching to my sister's in the burbs where size/weight shouldn't be an issue, but it's a no-go. Tried switching to my workplace that accepts all sizes/weights, and again, no-go. Online chatted w/ customer service who tried to tell me it's restricted, but couldn't say why. Also couldn't tell me how to fix or what kinds of places it would ship to. Another CSR said "the carrier" won't deliver to my addresses. I told the CSR the "carriers" for Amazon are FedEx, UPS, USPS, all who deliver to me, further, this is sold and shipped by Amazon, it's not a large item (esp since you have to put it together yourself), package is not large, not hazardous or dangerous so it makes no sense why it's "restricted." I was upset, thinking "bait & switch" as well, false advertising, etc. CSR also told me to check with other sellers who will ship but when you check, they're more expensive, you don't get the Prime Deal, etc. CSR even tried to tell me it won't ship because it's "sold out," but another lie because while I was online chatting, I was able to add another one to my cart. Finally called in to Amazon and talked to a VERY nice woman who helped resolve my issue, checked on it, and said it IS A TECHNICAL ISSUE THEY ARE TRYING TO RESOLVE AND THEY HAVE PUT A "HOLD" ON IT FOR NOW AS THEY TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S GOING ON. she said to check back in 24-48 hrs, but understanding that this is a Prime deal that ends today, she was kind enough to give me a little credit in my account to cover for the higher price after Prime Deal Day ends so that I can get it at the same Prime Deal price. A sort of "raincheck." Bottom line: CALL IN TO AMAZON.
