Very good gaming and content creation laptop
Great quality as expected from asus. Not disappointed with this.Rerly nice screen I like the matte finish to this it makes viewing easy in every level of light I use it in.I use this for gaming and content creation and what can I say handles all the jobs I need in photoshop and premier pro.One thing that may be worth upgrading is more ram, but this is so easy to do on this laptop. Asus makes the upgrade for ram and m.2ssds very easy and provide instructions on the web.The laptop has a lot of power and performance even on it's quiet mode.Even when it is on full on performance mode the noise level is low and the pafromence dose not disappoint.the 8core AMD risen is a very versatile chip with plenty of power even just using onboard graphics is very good couple this with the nvidia gpu and you have a very capable machine that will last you and offers some upgrade paths.Worth a look and great combo for the price .

Battery pretty poor but gaming laptops aren't known for long battery life.
Long story short, the laptop is a thing of beauty, the lights and amazing to look at. Was struggling on what gaming laptop to choose and have not regret buying this model whatsoever. The screen is great, keyboard feels amazing to use. LED's are bright to see even during the day when rooms are well lit so are perfect in dark rooms at night. It gets warm but not hot like other laptop's I have used previously. ASUS really hit the mark and for the price Amazon are selling it for, you're robbing them to be honest. Not much more I can say really, if you're reading thise and are looking at another laptop with similar specs, the RGB on this is worth that little bit extra.

Good value, though troublesome
I'll clarify what I got for the £899.99 that I paid, because none of the listed specs are actually accurate:ASUS Strix G713IE 1.017.3" 144Hz DisplayRyzen 7 Mobile 4800H 8 core processor16GB RAM (2x 8GB DDR4-3200 DIMMs)GTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU512GB SSDWindows 11So far this laptop has performed above expectation. It outperforms my 4 year old desktop in almost every scenario and it only seems to struggle when I throw abusive workloads at it (which I would expect). I am extremely happy with what I got and what I paid for it.**UPDATE:** I eventually did figure out a broad cause for the crashes I had originally described (preserved below). It seems to be an obscure driver issue, particularly with the AMD ones. I nuked off all ASUS-provided AMD drivers and installed only the ones I needed, and the crashes stopped. I can't pin-point the exact driver, but this should hopefully help narrow it down for anyone else. I am really hoping that AMD/ASUS fix the problem.**ANOTHER UPDATE:** The issue has returned and I have contacted Amazon for a replacement/refund.**FINAL UPDATE (November 2023):** So it my last update to this review, I'd contacted Amazon for a replacement/refund. Before I could actually return it, though, the issue seemed to resolve itself and I've not experienced it since. I'll retain the details of the issue below for context, but I'll reiterate that other than this issue I've been extremely happy with this laptop. However, I have been experiencing issues with random OS crashes. No BSOD, no warning, just the screen turning black and then the laptop POSTing and booting as if nothing had happened. There is nothing in the event logs or reliability monitor to suggest the cause, nor are there any memory dumps or crash logs. I have updated all firmware and drivers that have been offered to me and I believe at the time of writing everything is currently at the latest version. The best guess I have is that it relates to power management, because it only seems to happen if the laptop has gone to sleep. Yet, it's unpredictable. Sometimes it will crash right after coming out of sleep, sometimes it will be fine for 8 hours and then crash.I am very tech literate and I believe I've exhausted every option short of contacting ASUS for help, other than wiping off Windows 11 and installing something known to be more stable to see if the problem is perhaps Win 11 itself - though I am reluctant to do so because it means reinstalling and reconfiguring everything to my liking.I would be disappointed if I had to return or replace the item to gain the stability that I and my work demands, because it is such a phenomenal piece of kit, but if I cannot solve this problem by the end of the week then that will likely have to be the route I take.

Problems after 10 months. unusable after 17.
After about 10 months some of the keys stoped working after 17 months device is not booting, only the keyboard goes lit and can only be used for decor. For £1000 I expect more than an LED decoration in the shape of a laptop.

Good laptop
great laptop when its plugged in but it doesnt tell you that until after you buy it it runs most games fine (only if its plugged in) the fans are pretty loud for a laptop and the battery lasts about an hour if its not plugged in basically unless you sit near a plug socket and can have it plugged in 24/7 its not worth the money
