Nursing Theorists and Their Work, 8th Edition

I was forced to buy it, forced to read it and, forced to regurgitate it. It is well written, well researched and laid out in a way that facilitates finding needed information relatively fast. What more do you want from a textbook other than a lower price (hence four stars).

This book was well organized and I really learned a lot about various nursing theorists. It helped me realize my own nursing theory and how it guides my practice. I originally got this book for a class but have found it valuable.

I rented this book for my FNP program when I had a paper due on a Nursing Theorist. To my surprise it listed almost all of the nursing theorist and covered great information. My instructor was impressed and wanted to use this book for her next class.

This is the textbook used in my nursing course and the information is very thorough and helpful. I would recommend it for any RN students that are taking a nursing theory course.

Every one of these people is white. It is amazing to me that not one Black, Latino, Asian nurse has written theory of Nursing worthy of mention. Actually, there are many. Two men, also white. This fact skews the information within the book for its being one-sided, exclusive, culturally blind. While it may still have some usefulness, it will not take center stage in my library. It will be more a pariah.

I have already used this for a couple of papers for university papers. Love that so many theorists are in one book. I recommend this for anyone wanting to know more about this topic.

Purchased the book for college. I always worry about books that are hard to find information in. This is not one of those books. Its well structured and not to mention, the book was delivered in perfect condition. Happy with purchasing this book through Amazon!

When citing make sure u do editor and not author. Good book easy to read and quote but to get actual theory's I tend to go to the primary source.

Had to purchase for our nursing class... I found they used a lot of big words for no reason which made it difficult to understand the information they were giving.
