I don't think the 40.5inch will fit your speaker stands because the zip on this bag will probably be a little shorter in distance than the 40.5in. Unless your speaker stands are retractable, we recommend the 50.5inch bag!

Is the shoulder strap of this yorepek tripod case removable and adjustable??

I used to buy a tripod bag elsewhere but it made me disappointed and now worried if the zipper on this would also be a poor quality zipper？

I get it. With this bag, so far so good, however, I use this bag as a slider bag, which I don't open and close as much. A lot of times when I open zippers on any bag, I tend to take more care opening and closing it BECAUSE I know how annoying it is when it busts. I suppose metal zippers are superior to plastic zippers. But overall, it's still intact.

Is the main compartment fully padded even wihout the 2 divders - are any of the pockets padded?

There is padding on the sides of the case although it is not too thick. There is a padded “sheet” that creates a divider between the top and bottom so you can stack and then cinch everything down with the robust straps that are attached to the bag. There is no padding in the pockets.
