I personally love the Wella Color Fresh Mask in Golden Gloss. Over the years I have colored my hair on many occasions. This has caused a lot of damage and breakage, especially recently. Due to the porosity of my hair, and the weakness over many years of going from brunette to blonde and everything in between, the way my hair absorbed color became uneven, dull, and lead to a generally disappointing result. The last time I colored my hair blonde at home, I was truly pleased with the top part of my hair. The healthy part. The color I used was fantastic and the shade did indeed turn out a golden blonde. However, the damaged portion of my hair, which had become lifeless over the last several months, was no longer cooperating. The color was a completely different shade of ash blonde which was almost blue. Due to the unfortunate state of my hair, I was too afraid to put any more color on it in fear of losing my hair completely and ending up with a shaggy chemical cut. This was the first time I had taken things too far. I suddenly remembered that I had previously used a Wella Color Fresh Mask in a different shade, which at the time matched my copper hair. Remembering how much I loved how it turned out, the minimal effort it took, and how easy it was to keep up with, I took the step and placed the order. Once I received it, I followed the directions (not always the case for me) and applied the Golden Gloss to only the parts of my hair which had the ashy tone. Truth be told, my hair was so reluctant to take part in this activity, that I did indeed have to rinse it off, and reapply one more time. Given that this product is so easy on the hair, I was able to do this right away. After the second application and seeing the result upon blow drying, I was ecstatic. My hair was a golden hue all over. It literally made the difference in my confidence level, and that changes everything. Little by little, my hair is becoming restored, and I am careful to use products which no longer cause irreversible damage. Wella Color Fresh Masks are it for me when it comes to shifting the tone of the hair or just brightening up the color. Great product, and many shades to choose from.

Used it for covering my gray. I am 40%-50% gray with medium brown hair. Fabulous at depositing color after 10 minutes. The color has orange undertones so beware on lighter hair. You can see the undertone if you apply some of the product to your skin and then wipe it off. I have been testing several similar products: 1. Keracolor Clenditioner in Mocha - absolutely fabulous for my hair color. I wash my hair and then the next day I apply Keracolor Clenditioner the next day for 20 minutes and then rinse it out. Color lasts through a few washings. 2. Sorry, can't find my past order - I will try to find. Worked fabulous with cool burgundy undertones. I will try to find the name. This product is excellent. I’m a brunette going back to my natural hair color, and like many brunettes, I struggled with brassiness after dyeing—my hair would turn warm and slightly orange over time. I tried multiple blue shampoos, and honestly, none of them worked as advertised. This mask, however, is perfect. It tones down the brassiness and gives me a very natural-looking color—almost identical to my own hair. I’ve only used it three times so far, so I can’t say exactly how long the color lasts yet. One thing to note: it will stain your hands, so definitely use gloves. Also, if you have long or thick hair, I recommend buying two tubes because the packaging is quite small. The best part is that it doesn’t damage my hair at all and leaves it looking healthy and smooth while correcting the tone beautifully. It doesn’t cover gray hair, but it does an amazing job neutralizing yellow and brassy tones. Honestly, skip the blue shampoo—it was a waste of money for me. This works so much better. I love it.

Wear gloves. I have bronde hair with balayage and grays. I've used this mask twice now. Both times I left it in for the full 10 minutes, targeting my grays first, then working through my ponytail. I combed the whole thing out to ensure consistent coverage, and then piled my hair on top of my head while I waited. The first time I was very happy with the golden blonde look that resulted but I didn't shampoo or condition afterwards, and I didn't like how my hair felt. It was rough in texture and felt weighted down. The color lasted about one week. Note that it will tone your grays but not 'cover' them, and they will return to silver in a couple of days. The second time I used the mask, I did everything the same but I shampooed and conditioned afterwards. My hair texture was much improved, smoother and while the shampoo took up a bit of the color, I am much happier with the results. The only reason I am giving this four stars is because of the strong perfume scent and that I wish they made a slightly ashier blonde version. Shampooing after application helped to minimize the fragrance. The color is very pretty but it is warm-toned and not every balayage blonde is going to want that. I was tired of spending so much money and time at the salon for a gloss only to have it wash out in a week. I'm glad I tried this as it will become part of my maintenance routine.

Works great! Restored the Carmel back into my hair, looks salon quality and was super fast and easy also made my hair very soft. Will buy again.

Wow!! I had an outgrown balayage + blonde highlights in medium mousy brown hair. Mixed Caramel Glaze with Chocolate Touch (not sure the exact ratio, I used more chocolate touch closer to my scalp and more caramel glaze on my highlighted ends) and ended up with the most beautiful warm brown hair color. I even put a little bit of the caramel glaze on my eyebrows (they were juuuust slightly too cool compared to my hair), left it on for between 5-10 min and it was perfect. For my hair, I applied to completely dry hair and left it on for a little over 10 min before rinsing and then shampooing my scalp again. I have dense but fine hair so shampooing was just to keep my scalp from being too oily/product-y. I used gloves; I didn’t see any staining on my shower floor or any part of my body. I wore black clothes afterwards just in case but everything seems to have stayed put! I used maybe 1/4 of each bottle in my hair. My hair is about 5-6 inches past my shoulder and again, very dense but fine. I might use another round of caramel glaze painted onto some spots I missed next time I’m showering but overall couldn’t be happier with my at home color results!!

11/4/25. I wanted to love this. I'm trying to take a break from coloring my hair, I'm 67 yrs old and thought this might help me through this transition of going gray since it's not permanent and washes out quick. While my hair is soft after using, it actually turns the gray hair an unwanted orange color. So the gray line around my face is now orange. My hair is thinning and fine and I had hoped this would give it more dimension . I'm not saying this is a bad product, it just isn't what I had hoped for. It didn't damage my hair at all and the ends are definately darker, enough so it covers the orange when styled, and the gray comes through again pretty quick, so if you are trying this method to get thru this awful transition, save your money. I would have given this a 4 but the orange!! UGH! I also want to add that like hair color, this product will help with shine and softness. I am predisposed to red hair, thanks to my Beloved Mother! Scottish heritage. So again, while I believe this is a good product, it just isn't the answer to my problem. One other thing, it's quite a process, you must first wash your hair, towel dry, and then apply this toner, wait ten minutes {or how ever long you prefer to have it on}, and then rinse it out. If I think of anything else to add, I will do an update.

definitely a very red toned copper rather than orange or more neutral toned but i like it and think it will fade nicely. smells nice! i conditioned after as it did feel a bit drying but overall i would use this again. hair with clip is before and the hair down pic is after.

Used Golden Gloss. My grey is a very cold icy silver and dark grey. Very aging for me, but I'm done with block colour. I was looking for something non permanent that would just warm it through a little. I'm absolutely over the moon with the colour, very subtle on my dark grey bringing a warmer tone and has picked up some of the red I used to naturally have... so happy about that. The very white silver at the front and through the top has warmed into a light warm blonde. So very happy with the results. This will now be a a solid addition to my hair care routine.😊
