Eating healthy has never tasted to decadently delicious before!
This is a great source of delicious recipes - that happen to be healthy for your heart and brain! As a new health coach with Dr. Amen’s Brain Revolution team, I decided to add the Amen cookbook to my limited food repertoire and so glad I did. We’ve used the book daily since the beginning of May from delicious morning smoothies (Cherry Mint Blast is a new favorite), to hearty entrees (Chicken Asada w/Fajita-style veggies, Savory Chicken Masala, a very satisfying and easy Fisherman’s Stew) to delicious side dishes (the Cauliflower Mashed “Potatoes” and a truly delicious Cauliflower Rice are so satisfying that we don’t miss the others) and then onto truly satisfying sugar-free desserts (vegan brownies and lemon bars), we have been well served. For Memorial Day, I made the very delicious Bison Sliders with Blueberry Barbecue Sauce and Chloe’s Favorite Wings - both were raging hits. The BBQ sauce has quickly become our “family recipes” to accommodate my diabetic husband.Flavor combinations are wonderful. Not to mention I’m finally enjoying the full use of my spice cabinet. Well done!!My recommendation for the next edition:>Use Larger font sizes for the ingredients,> add Prep, Cook and Total Time estimates> Add a glossary (for example, coconut butter, coconut oil, coconut cream)> And it would be nice to add a few Soul Food selections among these delicious, diverse options.> Include “serving size” along with number of servings offered by the recipe.

If I had to pick ONE cookbook. This would be it.
I love cooking and cooking books. This one is my favorite cookbook ever. The recipes are easy, wholesome, nutritious and delicious. I also liked the recipes in the Omnidiet book but there isn’t any pictures in that one. I never write reviews but I tell everybody about how much I love this book. Everything I’ve made has exceeded my expectations. My favorites are: Tanana pancakes (banana flavor, light and slightly sweet, low carb, high protein) Brainberry muffins (So delicious it’s hard to believe there isn’t flour or sugar in them) Peppy Meatball soup (never liked kale before this soup) Cream of Asparagus soup (just creamy and delicious without the cream) Comforting Fish Stew (I saw the picture and I was intimidated but it’s the easiest, tastiest recipe ever! Better than restaurant quality) Rosemary Thyme Chicken (A simple foolproof way to cook chicken, it comes out great every time) Chicken Asada (My favorite marinade ever, we make it once a week) Turkey Stuffed Peppers (the Marinara sauce in this recipe is amazing) Chicken Wings (best homemade baked wing recipe and did I already say easy?) Hummus (I cook the chickpeas in my instant pot and add extra garlic and lemon. It’s way better than store bought) Sesame Almond Bars (low sugar yummy snack/dessert). I still have a lot more to try! I can’t wait to make the rack of lamb.

Easy and Delious Recipes Plus Sharp Photography of Nearly all Recipes
Beautiful photographs for nearly all recipes. I also appreciate the good information this couple brings to enlighten us on getting healthy. The recipes are for common ingredients you shop for (after you purge your pantry of unhealthy foods) and are easy to make. The first one I made was the Apple Crisp. It's made a little different than usual, but it was so delicious. It got a lot of compliments as an after-Sunday- dinner dessert. I also like the information about drinking warm lemon water and ginger every morning. Great benefits! I read some reviews criticizing the fact that the wife's picture is on several pages; that why couldn't they put photos of food instead? I see wisdom in placing her photos in the book as a way to show what this diet can do for us; beautiful figure, skin, and hair- not to mention a beautiful brain. Who wouldn't want to look like her? Plus the photos and captions show off her pleasant 'personality'. I find the photos encouraging giving 'hope'.. I discovered this book by accident while it was recommended by the Bone Broth Diet lady, Dr. KellyAnn,.

Do it
Everything I have made so far is GREAT! and I was skeptical. I've made 6 things. My favorites are cherry crisp, pork medallions in apples and onion, and sunrise grainless granola. My husband, who rejects all things healthy, even likes the meals I have made. He refused to eat the sensible shepherd pie, but when he tasted it he said, oh that's good. I am sure I will outlive him but at least I'll have good things to eat! So gather up your courage and become a brain warrior. Your family will thank you when they don't have to spend the money on a memory care facility......
