I really like the chair. I had tried regular yoga balls before, but having the rolling feet makes it much more comfortable and flexible. I also like having the fabric cover—again, much nicer than sitting on the plastic directly. Assembly was pretty easy; just make sure to put the feet on after you put the fabric on. You can assemble it manually—don't bother with the wrench. The wrench isn't very high quality and doesn't work well to loosen the screws if you want to take the fabric off to wash it. I think it works best if you have a height-adjustable desk because you sit higher than you typically would on a regular chair. I think it's a great product and I'm very happy with it.

Surprisingly good!! I've never used a yoga-ball chair until I experienced tight psoas muscles/low back pain and discovered how important it is to sit with a slight hip tilt (instead of the usual 90-degree in most chairs) and how much more comfortable it is (once you get to used to it!). I looked at all the options and tried several, but this Starfish chair is the BEST - it's got a stable metal frame for the base, easy to set up (especially using an electric pump), is not a big cheap plastic eyesore (hello, Gaiam) and seems very durable and long-lasting (read the Gaiam "ultimate" style reviews for endless tales of cheap production). I'm definitely a picky shopper and this is excellent value for money, good quality and really good for my posture and back. Think about it: The price is less than one visit to a physical therapist!!!)

Now that I have the correct item with the wheels, I can say that I am quite pleased with the product itself. After 3.5 years of working from home since 2020, I just couldn't stand my regular office chair any more--my legs were restless and I was slouching constantly. The starfish chair actually makes it kind of hard to slouch...you have to make yourself slouch and it's definitely uncomfortable. Sitting on the ball puts your hips in the right position which then aligns your back. I like this model with the base so the ball isn't rolling around on the floor. The cover over the ball gives it a more stylish look so you don't feel like you are at a gym. I can kind of wiggle around and bounce a bit when I feel fidgety. And it's solved the problem of my legs being restless. In my other chair, they didn't quite reach the floor and I hated having my legs dangle so I would just sit with them crossed up in the chair. Now my feet are comfortably planted on the floor which engages my legs just enough to support my whole body. As I am adapting to this chair, I can tell it's working some muscles in my back because they get a little tired but the posture improvement is worth it and hopefully it makes my back stronger. I will say it took several attempts to get the right product. I ordered the med. size with caster wheels and Amazon sent me one without wheels twice. I had to go straight to Enovi for resolution. Fortunately, the package from Amazon included contact info for Enovi so I emailed them and told them of the problem. They responded right away and agreed to send me the right product at no additional charge. I was impressed at how quickly they responded and how generous they were with the resolution. I was only hoping to get the wheels sent and they sent a whole new chair.

The frame is strong and sturdy. The wrench that comes with it to tighten the nuts/bolts is super cheap. The wheel castor is so greased up (which makes for a smooth roll) just be aware when tightening the nut, the wrench bent & slipped and sliced my hand open. Wasn’t a nasty gash, but enough to have a lot of blood. The ball that came with was so tiny that even filled to the gills it slipped right through the frame. Worthless. It’s a sturdy ball which seems to be of high quality, it’s just too small. My guess is the frame is standard for all sizes available, so it doesn’t make sense that the ball is so small. Anyway, I had a 65cm ball that I was already using, but I was too short at my desk for it to be useful, so I instead, I let some air out and replaced the ball with this one. The frame does add more height than appears so yay, I was able to make it work. The cover is nice and can be removed to be washed (but you have to remove the wheels to get it off) I’ve been using a couple weeks now and I can say it’s worth every drop of blood & dollar spent. :-) I’ve seen an improvement in my posture and my hips don’t hurt when I get up to walk anymore!

One of the wheels broke where it threaded into the leg, so I was unable to remove the threaded part to replace the wheel with another or with the stationary pegs it came with. I contacted the company TWICE and never got a response. I would have loved to replace it since my autistic son really liked this chair, but the lack of communication with the company turned me off completely from ever buying anything from them again.

UPDATE: After a weeks use and intentionally draining some of the air, I'm feeling much more comfortable on it. However it isn't really a slouch preventative, I still find myself slouching and reminding myself to straighten out. It's not so much a posture correcter, but a posture reminder- sure. I'll add a star. I had high hopes for this one because of the reviews, but its not quite hitting the mark for me. I am 5'3 and some change, I got the Medium but it seems to be too big as in order for my feet to touch the ground comfortably I have to sit lower on the ball and it feels like I'm going to fall off. If I sit higher on the ball it actually hurts my butt. Its very stiff, I don't know if it will get more comfortable after more use. It also smells really strongly of chemicals which I am assuming is from the actual ball. I am going to give it a few days, but I do think this one will end up being a return unfortunately.

Overall, I'm very happy with this chair. I used an exercise ball (with no base) as an office chair years ago and it was a lot of fun. I needed to replace my squeaky office chair and I'm trying to improve my core strength and posture so I wanted to try another exercise ball - and I really liked how this one looked and how it's built into a base with a cover. I had trouble blowing it up, until I ditched the electric air mattress pump I was trying to use and went back to the hand pump. As the instructions say, the last part was slow going, but not difficult. I recommend putting the cover in your dryer on low for a few minutes beforehand, it made it look much nicer. I've been using it for over a week now. The first day I could only handle a couple of hours, then I was able to sit longer and longer each day - I can now go the whole day on this chair! It will invariably result in better posture; you can NOT slouch on this thing. At the end of the day my hips and middle back are a bit sore, but already getting stronger. Plus it's crazy fun to bounce on. Be forewarned, this chair does creak and make noise. If you share an office with people, or if you're bouncing around during a zoom meeting, be aware. LOL. Not a negative, I just wanted people to be consider. My desk is 25.5 inches tall, I am 5'9". I did deflate the ball a bit after getting it up to recommended size so I could sit at a comfortable height.

Our office just received the Starfish ball chair today and I have to say... I read all instructions and put it together in under 25 minutes, though I did have help... my boss, he bought the chair ☺️, blew the ball up with his air compressor. It did take a bit of adjusting to reach our preferred air fullness, AND the ball did GREAT! 😃 The ball itself is made with quality material and I can understand why some ppl may have a difficult time with the blowing up and right size, they most likely are concerned it could pop if they over fill it to much... IT WONT, unless you blow it up beyond the capacity to even use it in the frame and even then I don't think it would. That's the quality of the ball. The metal frame is sturdy and easily put together, though one of the washers was a size or two too small so instead of four there are only three, but it shouldn't be a big deal so I am not concerned. Any one could make a mistake and choose a wrong size... I know I have 😉 The quality wheels was one of the reasons I chose to order this chair and they actually do seem like they will hold up great on the rough cement office floor and I can already say thank goodness for the ability to put on the wheel brakes! 😳 The washable cover is sturdy and good quality material and seems to have been stitched WELL! It is easy to put on and may require the ball to be deflated slightly when I want to take it off to wash, but that is just fine by me. They provide little spare parts for the "what ifs" in life and I can honestly say I have not been able to write such a good review of a product before. I hope they continue to maintain and grow in their quality of products and service. If anything develops with this product I will come back and add to my review.

Sadly did not cure my back pain but is comfy and easy to put together. As with other reviewers- you do need to inflate far more than you think is possible.

Mit dem vorteil trotzdem beweglich zu sein Dank der Rollen. Mit einem normalen Sitzball gerade bei online Meetings kaum machbar etwas außer Reichweite zu holen ohne mit Ball zu hüpfen. Sieht vor der Kamera komisch aus jetzt Rolle ich wie mit einem Stuhl aus dem Bild habe aber trotzdem den Vorteil des guten sitzen.

Have had other ball chairs (the ones with the backs that are not needed) this one is better and the cloth helps not feel hot while sitting on it.

La uso per alternare il lavoro seduta e mi trovo davvero molto bene. Mi sento più "sicura" che nell'usare una palla da yoga classica senza supporto e posso usarla anche durante i meeting senza preoccuparmi. Ho comunque la mobilità del bacino sollecitata e se voglio fare gli esercizi "classici" la palla può comunque essere utilizzata. Comodissima la piccola pompa non ingombrante ma efficace!
