I bought this because I was curious about jujube tea. This immediately created a problem. I had no idea what a jujube was. The word itself sounds less like a fruit and more like something one does after three cocktails and an ill-advised invitation to the dance floor. "What happened to Twiggly?" "He tried to jujube." "Is he all right?" "No." For the record, jujube is a red date, and this particular tea is made from dried Korean jujube fruit. The packet contains 30 individually wrapped tea bags, and the manufacturer describes it as naturally caffeine-free, gently sweet and intended as a soothing, warming drink. So far, so sensible. Then I made a cup. And I rather liked it. It is mild, slightly sweet, pleasantly fruity and—most importantly—does not taste like someone has emptied the contents of a health-food shop floor sweepings bin into boiling water. This is a significant advantage in the herbal-tea market. Many herbal teas promise relaxation, tranquillity and spiritual renewal, but taste as though they were brewed from hedge clippings. Jujube tea is different. It tastes like something one might actually choose to drink voluntarily. There is no caffeine, no added sugar, and according to the listing, the only ingredient is Korean red dates. That simplicity appeals to me enormously. Tea bag. Hot water. Wait two or three minutes. Drink. No crystals. No powders. No chanting. No requirement to align one's chakras with Saturn. Just tea. The packet itself confidently announces: JUJUBE TEA — Relax & Comfort And I must admit that this is broadly what happens. Whether the relaxation comes from centuries of Korean tea tradition or merely from sitting down for five minutes and not answering the telephone is difficult to establish scientifically. I am prepared to give the jujube some credit. The only real danger is linguistic. Once you have said jujube several times, it ceases to sound like a genuine word. Jujube. Jujube. Jujube. See? We have now entered nonsense territory. Still, nonsense or not, the tea is very pleasant, easy to prepare, and sufficiently different from ordinary black tea that I now keep some around for evenings when caffeine would be an act of self-sabotage. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mister Twiggly P.S. I am pictured supervising the packet from a safe distance. I do not personally drink jujube tea. I have tried drinking from human cups before. The logistics are humiliating. P.P.S. If anyone asks, “Would you like a jujube?” the correct response is apparently yes. Unless there is music playing.

I loved this tea. I really liked the taste.

This jujube tea has a wonderful, naturally sweet and cozy flavor profile without being overwhelming. It’s completely caffeine-free, making it the perfect nighttime ritual to wind down before bed. The tea bags steep cleanly and release a rich aroma.

Good tea, well priced, but definitely needs a bit of honey to counteract tinniness.

The best flavor Im addicted. I use this as a base and add on sometimes cloves sometimes all spice cinnamon goji berries. It gives a sweet taste to the teas.

Wife loves this stuff and remains on auto order.
