We adopted a 6 year old German Shepherd, seemed to be a little tender around his hips. Vet recommended these, as well as cosequin. It seems to really help him! I haven't noticed him having any issues since about a week after I started giving them to him. The flavor is vanilla, and he doesn't like it, that's the only bad thing I will say. I crush it up and put it in a little cottage cheese and he eats it right up.

I gave this product to our 11 and 13 year old labs. They definitely like the taste and we immediately noticed better movement, one dog has arthritic hips and the other is recovering from a shoulder injury. After three days they both have diarrhea. I am removing the supplement from their diet until it clears up and then maybe very slowly add back. I started with the recommended dosage for their weight...

Doggie's don't like vanilla flavor, they much preferred the meat flavored ones. They won't even eat them. Consider your target audience, not a dog in the world that would prefer a vanilla shake over a piece of meat.

My very stiff hips senior dog is doing so much better from taking this product. He likes the tablet and chews it right up! He moves freer and I think the formula eases discomfort too! I highly recommend this Duralactin product! I switched from the Duralactin chews, since this version is more affordable.
