Alaska Bear Mulberry Silk Sleep Mask, Cool and Smooth(Blossom Almond) | Genuine Organic Silk, For Sensitive Skin, Soft Filling, Lightweight, Flat Design

I got this because my boyfriend loves to have the tv on while he sleeps, but I like the room quiet and dark, so I sleep with ear plugs and wanted a sleep mask for the light. When I first got this and opened it up, I was amazed with how soft it was. I couldn't stop touching it and was really excited to use it. It's a straightforward product so you just put it on, adjust it if needed for tightness, and voila. The only thing that's been an issue for me is that it slips off of my hair as I move in my sleep. So maybe half of the time, it comes up off of my eyes and over my forehead. This is more because of my tossing and turning and long hair, so it may not happen for everyone. I'm very pleased with how well it shapes to my face and blocks out any light without being heavy or burdensome. Definitely recommend it for anyone that needs a light-blocking sleep mask.

This mask deserves five stars because it meets all of the necessary criteria: aesthetics, comfort, function, durability, and quality. The silk is wonderfully smooth, and cooling; I've had no issues with trapped heat, sweating, irritation, etc. and I have *very* sensitive skin! Both sides of the mask are silk, allowing it to slip easily over my pillow or blankets without twisting out of place, and creating a gentle barrier against my eyes (some sleep-masks I've used...like flannel or fleece-lined ones...feel too textured, irritating my eyes as I sleep and causing me to wake up with tired, itchy eyes). The strap is broadly adjustable (the closest thing I can compare it to is a bra-strap), which is a significant detail for people who get pressure or tension migraines (myself included), and is also stretchy. My room faces the east, making sunrise unavoidable...in spite of black-out curtains...but this mask works just as it should, so that's not an issue anymore. I even tried it with the curtains tied back, and only a *sliver* of light got through around the nose area of the mask (this isn't a moulded mask, so that's to be expected), however, there *is* a band of material there that blocks most of the light, and the entire mask is completely opaque. As for the print, the colours are beautiful and vivid! I've actually considered getting the Starry Night mask for my Mum, and I'll certainly be recommending it to any friends or family who mention light disturbance in the future. This mask is definitely perfect for beauty sleep, or hibernation. ;)

My eye doctor recommended that I always sleep with a sleep mask, as I suffer from chronic severe dry eye, and she suspects part of the reason is that I sleep with my eyes partially open at night. I have been through DOZENS of sleep masks, trying to find one that is not too tight, not too loose, not flimsy, and applies just the right amount of light pressure to stay against my eyes to help ensure they stay closed all the way, without being too much pressure. This ticks all the boxes! The pattern is very pretty, it's soft and comfortable, completely blocks out light, very easy to adjust the fit. It also comes with a handy little mesh drawstring bag for storage. I would definitely buy it again!

Love this sleep mask. So silky and soft on my face. If your looking for totally blackness this is not it because there is a peep of light on the bridge of my nose that I adjust every now and then but I’m ok with that. The straps are easily adjustable and I keep them on the lose end which may cause the light to filter in. There is no pain at all with the straps. Really this mask has helped me tremendously. The only problem I have is adjusting to the light as I take them off!

I love this sleep mask. The silk is so soft, the design is beautiful, and it’s very comfortable no matter what position you’re laying- bonus points for side sleepers like me. It’s very easy to hand wash with a little bit of delicate detergent. You’re not supposed to put silk in the dryer but I’m impatient so I toss in in the dryer alone on low heat after gently pressing most of the moisture out of the mask with a towel. It dries in only a few minutes (I haven’t timed it but I don’t think it takes longer than 10 minutes?) and I have done that 4 times without any damage or shrinkage whatsoever. My ONLY complaint is that the mask can get a bit hot. Maybe that’s just a sleep mask thing, I’m new to wearing one so I don’t know if that just kind of comes with the territory? I have long, think wavy hair that I blow out smooth so if I don’t toss it in a ponytail for bed, I wake up sweaty which causes my hair to wave and frizz. That’s my winter solution so I’m a tiny bit worried it will be too warm in the South Carolina summer even with my hair up. TLDR- Super great sleep mask, easy to hand wash, makes me really hot if I don’t put my hair up

I purchased a black mask from this seller in Feb 2017. At the time, I bought another black mask from a different seller and a different style, but I prefer the one from Alaska Bear and quickly stopped using the other one. I really like the feel of this mask - very soft and comfortable and the strap adjustment is easy to use. The other mask had 2 straps which I found complicated and unnecessary and frustrating to work with every night. For years I've purchased black masks from a variety of places, thinking it would provide the best light blocking quality. I'm a very light sleeper and need total darkness to fall asleep. However, this time around, I thought it would be a nice change to get a colorful design. I recently purchased the Almond Blossom from this seller. I have to say it is absolutely gorgeous - the colors are vibrant and rich and it blocks light as well as the black. And, maybe it's silly, but even though I just use it for sleeping, I like having such a pretty design to wear.

This is silk. On my Dermatographic skin it feels light and soft. There is no itching or eye rubbing wearing this like others that have other fabrics. It is oversized and has no light leaks. It also has an adjustable strap and that does not get stuck in my bed head like Velcro would. I thought I liked my old mask that my daughter decided was hers and was looking to replace it with the same for days. I found this by chance and it was one of the nicest finds ever because the cost is less then others that aren’t as lovely. You cannot find one bad thing about this because there isn’t one unless you’re allergic to silk. Do yourself a favor and get one. 💗

So much better than the ones you get on planes, or cheapies from the pharmacy. Soft, really dark, and big so you can adjust it to block the light totally. I keep oversleeping cos my brain doesn't realise it's morning!
