it is heavy but looks really nice. if you like bulldogs and saving money. He will surely please. its heavy enough to keep little ones from picking it up.

Beautiful Bulldog Statue/ Bank
This Bulldog is Beautiful !!!!! It is also a bank, unlike one review said. The coin slot is on the back & the opening to get the coins out on the bottom is very secure!!!!

Beautiful and Heavy But....
This is one heavy yet beautiful bank. It's smaller than I expected but so heavy it could be used as a door stop. The bank looks to be made in two pieces with the head screwed onto the body. The coin slot is on the bulldog's back. The slot is small, less than 1-1/4", and will not take coins larger than a quarter. I tried putting a half-dollar in the slot but it won't fit. Paper bills can be folded to slide in. I haven't seen one of the original British Bulldog Coin Banks that this is supposed to be a replica of but if this is a true replica the original has to be one heavy and gorgeous bank. I would have loved to have one of these as a kid. I was a much better saver then and love puppies so this would have been a great coin bank to have around then. This would make a great gift for bulldog fans and kids that love dogs or a novelty item for an enclosed porch or sun-room as well as a door stop in a main room. It is small but it's eye-catching.

That, my friend, is a bank. It is HEAVY - hand embellished cast iron. It's very detailed and it looks like a vintage piece. It's totally functional as a bank and may as well be Fort Knox for little fingers because you need a screwdriver to open the plug on the bottom. Plus, it's wicked heavy. He's a jolly looking fellow that would be a fabulous door stop. There's no need to even tell anyone he's a bank. He can be a secret stash.

Beautiful - if a bulldog can be beautiful - heavy Die-Cas iron Coin Bank
At first glance it doesn't look like a coin bank. You have to look for it to find the slot. It's a British bulldog and is beautifull designed and made. Very heavy. I love it!
