I have installed two of these horizontally in the attic access point of my garage, utilizing them as a ventilation fan. This fan draws air from within the garage and expels it into the attic. The installation has proven effective, significantly reducing the temperature in my attic.

Installed in a small chicken coop and worked great. Very Pleased.

This thing really moves air and it helps keep the humidity and smell down in my barn, as well as bringing in fresh air. My only complaint is that the shutters are a bit flimsy and I actually accidentally broke the screw on one which messed up the whole mechanism. I had some metal epoxy/JBWeld on hand and that fixed it like a charm but I feel like the mechanism of the shutters/the shutters themselves couldv'e been a bit sturdier.

I put an auto adapter with it and it works wonderfully

This is a great fan for our attic ventilation, 20 inch is a bit big for the average house but purchased it based on the existing inside window frame size to fit the opening. The fan is quiet and pulls a lot of air through the ridge vents keeping the attic temps cool. Quality is great and should hold up for years to come. Recommend a temperature control switch to control the fan, which will require some electrical wiring to be done. Overall very pleased.

For the money, this Chinese shutter fan was a poor value. I mounted it in the wall, plugged it in, and it did not come on. There is no OFF/ON switch, so I checked closer and saw that the fan blades were rubbing against the cage in several places. The blade was too close in a couple other areas. I had to disassemble the fan and bend the edge of the blades with pliers to get it to work. Very poor quality, especially for the price.
