The La Barbacoa propane gas chili roaster and charcoal grill features a large 30 inch by 12 inch detachable Teflon coated stainless steel roasting drum.The barrel is in turn on an attractive black powder coated stout steel support frame with an easy-to-operate drum door. The food grade stainless steel mesh is coated with teflon for non stick use and will last many chili seasons. The La Barbacoa's 5 burners are evenly spaced to ensure that the chiles or veggies are evenly scorched. The roaster comes in at a weight of about 38 pounds and the grill is 33 pounds. Our La Barbacoa propane gas chili roaster can be used on a tabletop or paired with the included La Barbacoa portable charcoal grill. This grill doubles as a stand as well as an optional roasting medium. These roasters are great for roasting chiles but are also perfect for roasting all sorts of vegetables such as corn, bell peppers, squash, and anything else that needs to be roasted. If roasting coffee or other small items a smaller mesh screen should be used. While it could be operated safely indoors we do not recommend it.

Buy the one with a REGULATOR, Not this $100 table and NO regulator.
As the most expensive roaster that Santa Barbara Roasters sells ($100 more then the cheapest without a regulator and $50 more then the one with a Regulator). I assumed incorectly tha this would COME WITH a Regulator. It DOES NOT come with a Regulator. That unnecessary table actually costs you $100.00!!! Which is a total rip off. So, although I'm sure the roaster will roast just fine. DO NOT buy this product! Instead save yourself $50 and buy the one that DOES come with a regulator. Then set it on a table (or the ground) which is free. NOW I'm off to buy what I should already have from some other company, before my chilis all go bad (Shipping on a regulator will take OVER a week from these guys). Youtube video review coming soon!

Roaster
Loved the quality and the size. Downfall is the rotating handle is to close to the flames and unless it was on high would not roast my chili because the burners are on the side instead of underneath. We also did not purchase a flame regulator and should have because the flames were shooting over my shed. I was worried about burning the neighborhood down and chose not to use it. We plan on making a few changes to it and hope we can use it next year.

great for roasting peppers
we have been using it a lot and really enjoy it. Saves time on roasting our peppers and other ingredients that we love to eat and put away for the winter. the only thing is they should include instructions on how to actually put it together other than that we really enjoy it

Soot on chiles
Problem with this roaster is there is no air inlet into the burners so the flame is black and leaves a lot of soot on the chiles
