Wow. Fits my Z50 perfectly, grips firmly into my ProMaster ball-head tripod head. Very sturdy and lightweight, good build and finish. Comes with a drawstring fabric bag and a tightening tool. This is exactly what I wanted, exceeded expectations.

First thoughts: Pros Arca Swiss compatible in landscape and portrait. Strong single piece material. Raised posts to prevent the camera from twisting. Good access to ports and doesn’t restrict access to the screen. Cons Nothing major to note. This is a robust L bracket for the Nikon Z5 mirrorless camera and it connects to an Arca Swiss mounting platform with zero slippage when tightened. I was slightly sceptical about the Arca Swiss mount on the side as it looks much thicker than the one on the base of the bracket but as it’s all about the angles, it actually secured just as tightly. Details and things to note (See pictures): L bracket for the Nikon Z5 which will mount horizontally and vertically. Arca Swiss mount on both orientations. ¼” mounting screw has a tightening option with a flat head screwdriver slot but there isn’t a folding D-ring so I can’t tighten it fully by hand (I’ll swap this out with a spare D-ring for ease of use). Left side access to camera ports when shooting landscape but will be blocked when shooting in portrait. Sturdy metal design with raised posts to help stabilise the camera body from twisting on the bracket. Final thoughts: This is a solid L bracket where the simple design has been carefully considered and executed. It works and it works well. Holds the camera well and it’s easy to change the orientation when I don’t have accessories attached to the camera. The bracket is fairly lightweight so it’s not too obtrusive in a kit bag. I’d happily recommend this if you tend to shoot on a tripod, especially if you’re mainly using your Z5 in a fixed position or shooting area.

This is a simple L-bracket designed for the Nikon Z50. The company makes other brackets but this one will only work with the Z50. It is fully compatible with Peak Design's Capture v3 clip system. It is also Arca-Swiss compatible. As always with 3LT brackets, this is made from solid magnesium. This makes it light, strong and wear resistant. Of course this adds to the price a little, but that is to be expected and well worth paying more for in my opinion. The workmanship is excellent in all parts, with a lovely pro-level anodized finish. When fitted there is no looseness at all, it’s rock-solid on the body. Everything feels perfect and smooth, I literally have no complaints. There’s nothing else to really say about this simple product, it does the job perfectly and should last a lifetime.
