How is the removable gate removed?

There isn’t a gate just a round dowel with a spring on one end . This is supposed to make it difficult for a child to get out . My grandchild is two and she uses the dowel has her rolling pin to make play dough pie’s!🥰

Is there any protective material in the chair packaging? Will it be damaged during transportation? Child stand up firmly? How thick is the board？

1. Mine came efficiently packaged inside of a box neatly held together in shrink wrap and separated with tissue paper. The first one ordered which I had to have replaced anyway because some holes didn’t line up did have minor puncture damage from transport but i didn’t think it was that bad until I got my sort of perfect replacement. 2. It is lightweight but sturdy enough. 3. The board where the child stands I didn’t measure but seems to be a good thickness for the purpose. I’ll edit my response if able once I can measure.
