what is the max weight?

I would say a weight issue would only be on the blow up slide. I probably wouldn't let any kid over 8 over on it but in the pool there is no weight. It's a very cool pool. I used it for my two year old and his friends who are 3 and 4. They loved it!

we are having difficulty inflating. The main blue part inflates and one palm tree but nothing else is inflating. Any suggestions?

It could be the valve or sometimes the plastic sticks together and unless you have some form of mechanical inflator, you might not have enough pressure to separate the plastic. If that fails, you can contact the seller for suggestions or ask for a refund.

Do I have to use a water hose with this product, or can i just fill the pools with water?

You can just fill the pools with water but the dinosaur that goes over the slide hooks up to your hose and sprays water on the slide.
