The chain doesn't have a clasp, you can fiddle with it to unlink it of necessary, bu5 just about fit over my daughters head so didn't need to. Fairly low / cheap quality so not sure how long it will last, but was cheap so you get what you pay for. My daughter was thrilled with it.
