Works well. Make sure to keep the tank above the pump. SEE UPDATES
This seems to be doing quite a good job in my tank due to the fact that it pushes so much water through. I have purchased in tank pumps and they just didn't perform like they needed to. He always needed to have them cleaned/removed slash a pain in the butt. This thing has worked for a month and I'll be cleaning it sometime soon but as far as I'm concerned it is definitely better than the in-tank pumps... Less cleaning and better circulation of the water. I recommend this or I think there's like one or two higher than this. I don't recommend the lowest choice that they have this one is like number two on the list. Anyway, it's during the job and I think you'll be happy with it. Keep the tank above the pump the gravity of the water will help it not to stop pumping That's a must. The light should be stronger but it does what it does. I would enjoyed it more if it had a higher wattage for the UV light. Haven't had to clean the pump for the last 30 days which is so much better than in tank pumps I was having to clean those almost on a weekly basis if not twice a week. The amount of water this thing pushes through is good and does its job. Recommended. Update: The pump stopped working and is going back to Amazon. I'm opting for the next size up which I shouldn't have to because the tank is only about 15 to 20 gallons. However, I'm hoping the quality of the next size up will fix the issue with a stronger flow. I've lost quite a few fish due to the pump stopping and the heater overheating the tank due to lack of flow. This will be the third attempt. The first one was sent back because it never worked / the replacement worked for about 3 weeks and we shall see what the third one will do. It's got 30 days to impress or it will go back as well and with that I will switch to another brand. Hopefully, the extra power in the size up will allow it to function correctly and keep flowing instead of sitting there like a brick not doing anything. Will update...

Simply works
I'm glad there's some cheap canister filters on the market. Thing is quiet and effective, I got it running on a 20G long at about 1/4 flow rate. Very nice the flow rate is adjustable. I didn't even take note of the included UV operation, I probably will not enable it unless necessary. Designed well, easy to clean. However the trays have a silly shape so cutting custom foam was tedious, but doable. I didn't expect it to come with media, the media it comes with should be discarded and replaced with actual sponges... While it comes with intake/outake lily systems, and the unscrewable part to fill the line makes priming a breeze. It is just cheap plastic, doesn't look too bad but consider getting your own lily tubes if you care about aesthetics. I also had to cut down the intake tube significantly to fit in my tank, which is fine. Better for everyone that it can be super long for larger tanks. Drilled some holes in the pipe and installed an intake filter, which I highly recommend to save fry/shrimp and also minimize maintenance. Overall great deal. First one I got wasn't working but turns out it was my fault, got greedy and tried to use the upper section as an additional media compartment and it blocked up the outflow mechanism... so be careful about that. Second one working great.

Worthless destructive machine from hell
Purchase this filter system in November 2022.The prime pump handle disintegrated into pieces in February, just days after the return window closed. One month later March 2023, the machine is no longer producing clear water. I have a bacteria outbreak as a result of this. All new media was used in the last cleaning process, and the system was washed as directed as usual. Did not stop it from having particles and algae blooms producing from the filtration system itself. Three just assemblies and three re-assemblies and cleanings and replacement of medias. Again, I finally get it to produce clear water. as time is going on, and these repeated cleanings that had to take place, the machine is physically, wearing fast cracks are developing on the fasteners, and the prime pump is further disintegrating with the post reducing down to a nub. April 2023. I woke one morning in my bedroom to find the laminate wood flooring bubbled all the way across the floor. I immediately assumed it was a exterior underground leak from the sprinkler system outside, but I was wrong. As I entered my dining area, I noticed the fish tank was down about 3 inches in water. That’s right this piece of crap destructive machinery that wasted my $140 plus all the extra media I had to spend out for when it started to malfunction and not properly filter. The system, has now incurred the cost of replacing my bedroom flooring, not to mention the wall between the dining room, and the bedroom . The canister was leaking from the seal line all the way around the top of the canister with water coming out from the prime post area primarily. So I believe the water is leaking out of the pot, prime post down into the top of the canister where the motor is and just leaking out the sides down through the latch locks . So 4 inches of water in a 55 gallon tank that math I don’t know how to do to estimate how many gallons came out that I would I would guesstimate at least 10 to 15 gallons of water. The return window has closed in January and I am simply going to cut my losses and move onto a different brand. Amosijoy has lost my confidence as a consumer looking for a reliable product. A properly working filtration system is one thing I seek, but any further problems in my life such as thousands of dollars of floor and wall repairs is unacceptable . I will never buy another product of theirs, and I highly advise anyone seeking for filtration products to overlook this brand and to move on to other reputable sources.

No it is not a UK plug but I brought a power deductor for this, so it can be used in the UK. Know it's all up and running, wow what a Filter my tank has never been so clean and clear, even the fish are happier

Do not buy one of these. Silent operating, yes because they do not work. This has spluttered a couple of times but is pumping and filtering no water. Having had canister filters before decided to go back to one again. So now I am going to have to make a trip out to an aquarium store today to buy a replacement so my fish do not die. Once again do not buy this I have a lot of money for something that does not work.

Initially, I didn't feel entirely confident upon observing the seal design, and that sentiment persists. It's not due to any immediate problem, but rather a concern that with time, the latches may weaken, potentially leading to a leak. However, there's a chance this may not occur. Currently, everything seems to be functioning as intended, and the UV light indicator is still active.

Bought the bigger 140 for my 30 gallon add says 30-50 for it but instructions even says its good for 20-30 and I agree. Tank is very clean and clear the skimmer part works awesome. Doesn't come with all the filter media so have to buy that extra if needed, I was able to use my media from my old filter which helped keep the good bacteria in and not have to start over for that. Definitely fully fill reservoir with water before turning on or will not work properly as it has a safety shut off incase of over heating or leak.

Very happy with this 850 lph filter/UV unit for the money. I'm using it on my 20 gal salt water tank and it's circulating 11 times an hour. It's smooth and quiet. Setup was a little tricky, I had to heat up the plastic hose ends with a butane lighter and apply a little Vaseline before it would slip on to all the connections - it wasn't a big deal. I thought I should mention this in case someone else has trouble with this. It's worth buying.
