Bosely is the BEST
This is the best available. Other brands do not work as well and hair still falls out, not with Bosely!

Abosultly works!!!
I wish I had taken before pictures of my hairline, but.... I started using this everyday, as directed, Oct 2024. It does take a while for you see results, but they will come. The directions say to spray on cool counter and then apply to roots, but I apply directly to my scalp. You have to be careful not to press to hard, but if your just putting enough to feel the wetness on your scalp, not a solid white line, but way less, that's what you want. I do 7 or 8 stripes from forehead to base of scalp, then really rub it in. Product itself adds some body, and now 16 months later, my ponytail is thicker than it's been in years. I know it sounds like a long time, it is, but it's worth it. I also use the shampoo every other night along with this, but i truly believe that this foam product makes the biggest differnce. Latisse also works beautifully, again, it takes time to work. You have to be religious about these sort of products, but they will work if you use as directed.

Hard to Use
The foam is harder to place into the scalp than the liquid dropper or spray. It tends to stick to hair and not get onto scalp so I don't feel you get as much value for your money. This brand is also higher priced than most and it is the same active chemical - minoxidil. You are paying for the name. Not worth it.

It works!
My new heart medication caused my hair to come out in clumps. I have been using this product for a few months and I have new hair growth.

unless I missed it, what is exact amount that should be applied to hair?
I much prefer the liquid as the foam takes way too long to apply in comparison. But I was curious how the foam works, and other than textural delivery, it works the same as other 5% minoxidil products. You will be paying for the brand name here. Directions on packaging say to use 1x per day (product page says 2x). Part hair, apply to scalp. Can first add some to hand (so long as its a cold hand because the product melts from heat) or other cool surface. The child proof cap is annoying. Must line up arrows then wrangle it off. Doesnt just snap back on, so I find I leave the cap off. No indication as to how much to use. Just says to apply to hair loss spots. Ok, but how much?!?! That's vague, and using enough (but not too much, or too little) is important!! The liquid kinds state a specific amount. As with all others, this is gentle on hair and scalp. Remember that this is to be used on scalp, so apply carefully. I will use this up, but unless it is extra magical, I will be sticking to my liquid (I use 5% mens since for some reason there is no 5% womens in liquid despite being same exact product), as I find it much easier to use, easier to distribute on scalp (I just run the dropper through hair on scalp and massage as I go. I never have had a single drip in my face in the 4 years I have been using these type products). Also liquid is much quicker. At least I tried, and now I know. SO if you are used to liquid, this foam may throw you off. If you are NEW to it, know that once you start, you cant ever stop. Otherwise hair gain becomes a loss again. Also, can take 3-9 months to see results. So keep at it.. forever (oh and continued shed cycles are the norm). MY rating? 3.5 stars. I expect the effectiveness to be fine. All these products are the same exact thing: minoxidil. Just under a different brand name. I dont rate on price, so the exorbitant $40 price tag is not factored in (more pricy than original brand name!). My rating is more to do with the fact that I did not see an exact "dose", which seems important to know, yes?. I have no problem with liquid versions on dosing. The other elemement that factors into my rating is simply preference: liquid is way easier, quicker than this foam. I am not a fan of having to put some in my (hopefully) cold hand to then use other hand to apply. I dont want to apply some to a cool surface. This is all adding time and steps compared to what I am used to. So liquid for me. But since we cant do half ratings, I will bump it to 4.

Waste of money
First, is not returnable. Second, I was able to use each bottle for less than a week, because the foam stops coming out or it becomes liquid foam. I can still shake the bottles and they sound like they have product, but I can’t get it. Third, is sticky and makes your dark hair gray and dull. Bought the spray before, but they don’t have 5% for women. The spray is much better.
