Amazing craftsmanship
I am impressed by the quality of this knife and by the aesthetics. The blade is excellent and beautiful. It is thicker than my other knives, but very sturdy and sharp. The blade shape is new to me, but I find it very useful. The handle is very comfortable and the balance is excellent. The looks are wonderful and the finishing is perfect. I strongly recommend the products made by this gifted craftsman.

Beautiful little knife, sharp, sturdy, comfortable in the hand
Came in a nice box with a little cleaning kit. Very pretty knife overall. Sharp, and handles well. Cuts pretty clean.

Damascus pattern is laser etched
This is a decent knife. The packaging is over-the-top nice, so it would make an impression as a gift. The handle looks great. Unfortunately, the pattern on the blade is laser etched, and you can feel the ridges (I can't on my Japanese-made folded-steel knives). I don't actually care about the damascus steel aspect. If it's not folded steel, please don't put silly laser etching to to make it look like folded steel.

Dont look forged hand made
I dont think these are actually hand forged. They used like an acid to make it look forged. Blade is dullung after we weeks.

Be careful
They are sharp. Used a few times with no effort to cut. Beautifully presented and I keep them boxed. I won't let anyone in the family touch them. I have now purchased more knives from their range.

Awesome knife
I’m not a cook or a chef but I am a outdoors man. I know a sharp knife is a indispensable tool , this knife comes fairly sharp from factory it only took me a few min to turn it razor sharp. The best thing about it is it’s still holding that edge and it’s used daily. Just a reminder clean it after each use and do it by hand.

Knife arrived with a completely dull edge
First off, I am a fan of the Mitsumoto Sakari knives, and was gradually filling up my magnetic stand with these great-looking – and sharp – products. Sadly, this paring knife was the exception. :( It did not have much of an edge to it, and I really do not want to research sharpening a brand-new knife (also while knowing it may never be as sharp as when it leaves the factory, assuming some decent QC process is in place for the product ordered, that is.) Compared to my other Mitsumoto Sakari knives this was so dull that you could basically slide it across your arm, and I therefore had no option but to return it. I hope the manufacturer takes these comments to heart. My primary reason for buying knives in this price range are their look & feel in the hand and their razor-sharpness (Mitsuomoto Sakari's Gyuto knive, for instance, is tremendous, and the reason I wanted to buy more of these to replace my existing kitchen knives)
