How does this cut 8 inch logs

Hey Joe, This saw is designed to consumer friendly trimming saw. While it can cut 8" logs, depending on the nature of the task, battery performance may be limited or degraded. If you do large diameter cutting frequently, I would recommend taking a look at the 535i XP battery chainsaw which outputs comparable performance to a gas chainsaw. I hope this helps! Thanks for considering Husqvarna for your outdoor power equipment needs!

For $199, does it come with a battery and charger?

No. There is a model that includes both. Husky uses a standard battery and charger across multiple products and offering the chainsaw without these items means a customer with say a Husky hedge trimmer who already owns these items can leverage them, saving money.

Does this usesd 120i chainsaw come with at battery charger that works? Does the battery hold a charge

Looks like the ad you looked at does not provide a charger or battery. The Husqvarna battery can be very expensive, as i have a few of the Husqvarna cordless tools and i bought some batteries and most are over 100 dollars each. The charger is not too expensive. You can search online for a chainsaw that includes the battery and charger. The batteries are not perfect for holding a charge. But i continue to use mine after 4 years. I like the Husqvarna cordless tools.

I have a tree link redback chainsaw are any batteries compatible with this mine is a 120 volt

Hey Amazon customer, Only Bli series Husqvarna batteries are compatible with the 120i battery chainsaw. Thanks for considering Husqvarna for your outdoor power equipment needs!

No battery or charger come with it , but I love it!!

I've used this saw a lot now, I couldn't be happier with it! It's an animal! Close to $500.00 by the time you get a battery and charger, but it's worth it to me. Wouldn't give it up for nothing!

No Battery or charger

This is as close to false advertising as you can get. It shows it with a battery and even says the battery can be used with other appliances. but there is no Battery or charger. The one I received looked like it had been opened and returned Pretty obvious why. I cant believe Amazon would allow this. Now if you want to use it you have to buy a battery that cost more than the saw!!What a rip off

GREAT TRIMMING CHAIN SAW

WORKS WELL AS A LIGHT TRIMMING SAW OR MEDIUM SIZE BRANCH CUTTER HAS GOOD BATTERY CAPACITY WITH PLENTY OF CUTTING POWER VERY EXPENSIVE BUT GOOD QUALITY OVERALL CAN BE A LITTLE KICKY WITH THINNER BRANCHES ETC.

way better than a gas chainsaw

I have several Husky products including backpack leaf blower and string trimmer. My last purchase was the battery operated hedge trimmer. My gas chain saw is just too hard to start so decided to try electric. I saw that this unit could be purchased without the battery and charger which are common to my hedge trimmer so I bought it, saving $100. I am very pleased with the purchase; it starts instantly and is great for cutting up downed trees and limbs. I haven't taken down a small tree yet but confident this can do the job, might be a bit slower than a larger bar gas model but the tradeoffs with this one well worth it.
