Would standard size pencils fit in this dispenser?

Yes they would. They would look good but like the straws they would fall off the inside tray and make it hard to pull up the dispenser. I tie a ribbon around my straws to keep that from happening

What are the dimensions of this holder and will it hold 9" straws?

I’m not sure of the dimensions because it’s at my condo at the beach & I’m in Pittsburgh. From what I recall it’s fairly large & would definitely hold 9” straws. It’s glass & is nice.
