What goggles can i buy that fit this helmet best

Hard to say since it depends on the type of goggles & your face shape (whether it will fit properly together). For this model, you can try narrower lens (from top to bottom). Rounder ones may not fit.

Does the mouth part offer the same or close to protection as a full helmet?

I can say from personal experience that it does provide protection in case of a wreck. Certainly not the same protection as a full face helmet, it's designed to protect against wind and bugs and dirt. But I laid my bike down last weekend at about 30mph and I felt my face hit the ground, and upon inspection of the mouth piece I could see that it is scuffed from having hit the pavement. No doubt it saved some major pain to my face and maybe a few teeth. If you're wanting full-face helmet protection this is not designed for that, but at low speed impacts it does offer some protection.
