Q: So how well has this switch been holding up for those that own it? i plan on using it for 6-7 poe cameras. anyone out there using it for this purpose?

I've had a Trendnet TPE160H POE unit for over 7 years now running up to 6 cameres 24/7 without a hitch.

Q: I have cameras with lights. Will the lights come on with this product?

PoE+ Supplies up to 30 Watts of PoE power per port with a 123 Watt power budget - I would say no, unless the camera lights are designed to work off of the camera's PoE budget... I highly doubt this would work.

Q: What if i would plug non poe devices into this switch? for example a smart tv, a blu-ray player, and a desktop computer, and then poe security cam?

What you described will work just fine. Though, given your scenario, this seems like a pricy option if you only need to power one PoE device. I suggest looking into PoE injectors in conjunction with a non PoE switch; it will likely be cheaper. Stick with a PoE switch if you plan on adding more than one PoE device or don't mind the higher price. I've been using this switch for over a year and it works great! Gets a little warm as it doesn't possess active cooling (fans) but I'm also pushing the PoE power draw limitations of this switch.
