Fits a 12 Tooth Cog
Really happy I got this ring. Fits my 12 tooth cog with no chain rub. Seems really well made and solid, easy to install and take off without worry of it deforming and/or stripping threads and getting stuck on the rear wheel. Definitely happy with the purchase.

The popular pedal wrench/chain whip/lock ring combination tools are okay but tend to have a very bad rake angle for the tooth
These are now the only lock rings I use. The machining is impeccable, and the steel tends to deform less at the grooves during installation and removal. That being said, these do (like all lock rings) require high installation torque, so make sure you use a lock ring tool with the right curvature and tooth shape. The Park Tool HCW-17 (using the 41-42 end) is ideal for this. The popular pedal wrench/chain whip/lock ring combination tools are okay but tend to have a very bad rake angle for the tooth, which puts all the pressure on the corner of the lock ring groove, and this can cause failure even with an excellent lock ring. Check the tooth by inserting it into the lock ring groove and seeing if it sits flush and square (it should actually contact at the bottom of the groove first by a slight amount, since the tooth will bend a bit under load). If not, either use a file to re-profile the tooth (this is how I make my road repair lock ring tools, since I don't want to carry the HCW-17 everywhere), or find a different tool.

It works
It's a lock ring. It works. I'll have my partner update the review if it stops working and I die.

Great ring for spaced cogs.
I was having issues with lockrings not having threading from end to end and that concerned me when using spacers to fine tune my chainline. The threading on these lock rings start immediately from the edge of the material. The lock ring notches are sharp and bite well when tightening with a tool. The coating appeared to be similiar to the blueing on a firearm barrel.

Durable, solid.
Works great, well made, holds my cogs on without fail. Initially I want quite sure about ordering the more expensive lock-ring. But, having used it for many months, I'm happy I splurged a bit.
