Exactly the right tool
It was exactly what I needed for my garden. The step part really helped to get into my hard clay dirt. I found it easier to step down and move back and forth before twisting the dirt to help physical strain and fatigue. It did give me a real good work out doing my patch of garden l. Would recommend for small to medium areas. Very sturdy and easy to assembly and came in a smaller box that wasn't heavy at all.

Very handy!
Sturdy and easy to use. Great for weeds, grass or just loosening soil. Step into ground, twist twist, tap tap, and repeat. Small head but makes semi quick work of a not so fun task.

Does the jobโฆwith some effort
I needed to till up some grassy areas before planting. Motorized tillers werenโt something I wanted to invest in as it will likely be a one time, or varied smaller use tool. This was cheaper than renting a tiller for the day so I gave it a shot Overall it gets the job done. With the caveat itโs not really for those on the taller side. Might just be me, but I had expected it to be a bit taller. The addition of two extra bolts in the package, almost makes me think it actually is meant to be but more on that in a sec. For my over 6ft frame, it doesnโt reach my waist. So expect some bending if youโre in the 5โ7โ and up range. Assembly was nearly a breeze. The tiller portion required pressing in hard enough it scrapped some paint of to get it fixed. Once together though, the foot press makes it drop into southern clay like โbuttaโ and the handles are surprisingly extra comfortable. I avoided any hand discomfort with over 100 holes prepped with this thing. With a bit of effort you can twist and remove the top layer of grass as I needed for my purposes. Making multiple circular passes with you foot definitely helps the final twist. Again this is where the height of the product becomes an issue. Different muscle groups required to twist this when bent over compared to when standing up right. I liked they include two mm wrenches needed for tightening the bolts. Little extra steps like that just show a good product team since not everyone may have a 13&14mm wrench. I wouldnโt use them for working on my car but definitely worth keeping around for smaller projects. My suggestion though is to grab a socket wrench to help get the bolts really tight because if not. The handle will twist given the amount of effort it takes. At least in my soil type. In a typical flower bed, the effort should be much less. Brings me back to the size. Each section takes two bolts and by coincidence. Two extra bolts are included which if it had an extra sectionโฆ would make this the perfect height for me. However, Iโm not exactly sure what these are for since the picture on the tag shows just one section. These arenโt small bolts so the extras in case you lose one scenario doesnโt seem to fit. Maybe they are for if you damage the other 4 somehow, or purchase an extension?? Who knows, overall though itโs done the job and woke up some sleeping muscles in the process. It will become one of those shed tools to hang out when or if I ever need it again and the price was a small percentage of the overall project. Wish I could only knock it half a star for ease of use since other than the height issue. Its perfectly suited for what I needed.

Excellent Manual Tiller for Tight Garden Spaces
This twist tiller from Jardineer is a fantastic addition to my gardening tools. It delivers great value and performance, especially in raised beds and small garden plots. **What I love:** * **Anti-Slip Foot Plate:** The foot plate gives extra leverage and control, allowing me to press down into compacted soil easily. No more struggling to break through dry ground! * **Aggressive Tines:** The arrow-shaped steel tines dig deep and twist through even tough soil with ease. Great for loosening soil and mixing in compost or fertilizer. * **Back-Saving Design:** The long handle is perfect for working while standing up, reducing strain on my back and kneesโno more bending over constantly. * **Compact & Handy:** Its size makes it perfect for working around flower boxes, shrubs, and other tight spots where a full-sized tiller wouldnโt fit. * **Sturdy Build:** The powder-coated steel is solid and durable. It feels like a quality tool that will last for seasons to come. **Minor Wish:** * It would be nice if it came with a small storage hook or clip, but thatโs a small trade-off for the functionality. **Bottom Line:** If youโre a home gardener looking for a powerful, affordable manual tiller, this one is a great buy. Itโs easy to use, highly effective, and kind to your body.

Makes quick work in the yard, good for gardening and repair
I actually got this to help with repairing my fence area. I also use it for gardening as well after that. The material is very strong and sturdy. I like that it is not twist attachment and just a simple latch mechanism. The latch can withstand a good amount of stress which is good. I found no issues with anything breaking off. It is able to penetrate the ground and loosen the soil pretty easily. There is a spot for your foot to help push the spikes down. I am able to twist it easily. It grips well but the yellow does make it noticeable dirty over time especially since you are handling dirt and such. I am able to twist easily with. Everything is pretty strong especially the spikes. The spikes are not super sharp or anything but still handle with care. It does need to be assembled it honestly it is really simple to put together. The tension on the end did not have any issues with bending or anything. It does a good job with mixing soil as well if you wanted to use it for that. This is not really meant for big fields. For what I needed it for, it make quick work of the soil that I needed to install the post for. I did see some chipping of paint on the device but I do not really expect it it to stay on with constant use but it was just a minor thing. The grip does make it easy to hold with or without gloves. It is also easy to wash and dry. I did not really see any rest but dry as you see fit. You can easily take it apart if you want for easier storage. Overall I am pretty happy with this. The tool makes quick work in the soil. It is very strong and I like that it is not twist attachment so you do not have to worry about it coming apart when twisting. The spikes are strong and do not break off. It was really useful in helping me with gardening and repair. The spot for your foot as well is large enough for a boot so you do not have to worry about your foot getting stuck or not being large enough.

Perfect tool for cleaning out flower beds.
These saved me so much time cleaning out my flower beds. Weโre in Texas so the dirt has a lot of clay in it. I wet it with the hose, did one pass with the big tool, then used the second one to fine too. So easy. Way easier than what Iโve been doing. And no back pain. Only used it once so far so canโt attest to how long it holds up but seems pretty sturdy. Very glad I made this purchase.

Kind of works for pulling weeds
This product was easy to assemble and the quality seems good as it is sturdy. Unfortunately, I really struggled personally with the design as I thought the claw on the bottom would close to help pull the weed out as I have seen in similar products. This easily can be twisted and it is easy to maneuver to stir up the dirt, but when trying to pull up weeds it just loosened the dirt around it. It might be my fault though as I thought this was a weed puller, but I think it is more of a garden tiller (I was hoping it would do both just looking at the images and skimming over the description).

Great tool combo. Must have in any garden.
Very easy to put together. Strong and easy to press into the soil with the handy spot to slide your foot into. Also helps pull up weeds which is a bonus. The handheld claw is just as great. Easy to use when working in my raised bed. I like not having to just use the full sized claw. Thanks for a great product.

Good value and works well
For the price this is a pretty good garden tool. Sturdy enough to get through most soil types. I use it to stir compost, to mix garden soil with various fertilisers, and to loosen hardened ground near trees and in the garden. I don't think it would last long with very hard, or compounded clay like soil but it has handled the compacted soil areas in our Canberra location quite well. Happy with this purchase.

Like it
I have the original garden claw. It is solid. This one is easier and better as you can step down on it. It also allows me to get more done faster and it is gentler on the body. The claw is bigger and better.
