Logitech for Creators Mevo Start 3-Pack, Wireless 1080p HD Multi-Camera Live Streaming, Intelligent App Control, Stream via Wi-Fi—Black

Bought for a local church to record Sunday morning services. In this application, it's set up on a tripod near the front of the sanctuary and records everything that happens on the platform (minister, readers and musicians) to SD. A separate audio track is recorded off the mixing desk. The Mevo audio is used to sync in the separate audio track and the service is then edited for uploading to YouTube the same afternoon; editing involves little more than cropping shots as necessary, tidying transitions and overlaying slides/text - all quite straightforward in DV Resolve. I initially used the iPad app to crop and pan whilst recording but we found that, since I upload to YouTube in 720p, recording in 1080p and cropping in edit didn't give a significant reduction in video quality - and leaving it to edit meant the camera didn't need anyone to control it during the service. I could probably do the same with a range of alternative cameras (the GoPro series for example) but the Mevo Start offers more options for a static application like ours (such as the option to livestream direct to YouTube when needed, albeit not something I do on a regular basis). Also, the Mevo can operate in NDI mode, making it easy to mix and control several of them with OBS (which I did when live-streaming a wedding via Zoom, for a groom's family scattered across two continents during the Covid-19 lockdown). One correction: the review is linked to the 3 pack - I only bought one.

I like the cams. they work pretty well. However they do require a relatively fast upload speed. I have around 400mb/s download. however my upload fluctuates between 15mb/s and 40mb/s. when its on the lower end the cameras do tend to blur/lose quality. However connecting them via the cables as normal webcams works great, regardless of wifi speed.

These cameras are fantastic. But the company who I bought the company od are shocking. Can't deliver on time.

Beeld valt weg. Haperde en nam niet op. Geluid is erg slecht, externe microfoon nodig. Camera's nemen niet op als ze dit wel moeten doen

These cameras wouldn't be so impressive if it weren't for the NDI support. The picture quality is OK, a bit better than a C920 webcam but don't expect anything mindblowing. Also, the Mevo Multicam app just doesn't work (it finds the cameras but I can't do anything else) but I can control the cameras through the regular Mevo app just fine. It is not a big problem for me as I don't use smartphones with these cameras. OK, we got the bad things out of the way, now for the good things 1. NDI - enables you to use these cameras in a professional live video streaming software (vMix, OBS...) without having to buy a capture card. Also, NDI enables you to use PTZ controls to reframe and zoom in/out on each camera, which makes the smartphone apps totally redundant fortunately :) NDI works great through WiFi as well but I would suggest using it only if you have your own high quality wireless network switcher with you. 2. Audio - great microphones built-in the cameras. Definitely a recommendation if you want to capture ambient audio. Also the ability to connect external audio is a plus 3. Battery - these things last for around 6 hours on one battery charge. If you need more, just connect an external power bank ;) I gave 5 stars because of the amazing value and NDI connectivity/convenience.

La cámara es muy estable graba a buena resolución incluso con poco internet 👌. La conexión entré las cámaras son de lo mejor ❤️‍🩹. Calidad de materiales alta y confiable. Compra, sin duda, no defrauda.

Para lo que cuesta es un timo bien gordo. Se entiende que el sistema son 3 cámaras que las puedes combinar para hacer directos y eventos dinámicos, pero cuando empiezas a configurar todo es bastante malo. Para poder usar la app multicam debe ser todo inalambrico y usar un teléfono o tableta como hub y de ahí reenviar de nuevo la señal, es decir mayor latencia. Si pones la configuración por cable, entonces solo funciona una cámara, pero eso si estás de suerte. Luego está el tema del sistema operativo, en mac olvidate, en windows a duras penas. Si quieres configurar la camara y establecer los parámetros de imagen debes conectarla por wifi, pero si luego la quieres usar en pc necesitas reclamarla. No hay manera de que se pueda usar todas las camaras, sea por wifi o cable, windows o mac? Haced la app para todos los sistemas, pero que funcione de verdad, o son 3 bonitos pisapapeles.
