Barbie as pediatrician, with Kelly as her patient. Comes with an examination table, height/weight scale, & doctor's instruments such as ear checker, reflex hammer, and eye checker.For some reason, I love to see Barbie in a white coat with a stethoscope around her neck, and I don't really mind that she's wearing a flowered mini-dress under it and looks too young to have made it through medical school. The medical careers booklet is okay too.The accessories are very lightweight and flimsy. The instruments are sure to get lost right away. The Kelly that comes with the set has a specially jointed knee so she can respond to the reflex hammer. This makes it difficult to make her stand up on the scale. Barbie's stethoscope is sewed to her jacket, and even if removed, can't really be placed in her ears. Basically it's hard to play with the set in the manner suggested by the accessories. That's okay, though, kids rarely do. But there's a lot of extra little stuff that isn't really useful and either gets lost or becomes clutter.None of the bad points stopped my daughter from saying this was 1 of her 2 favorite Christmas gifts this year.If the idea of Barbie in a white coat really floats your boat, get it. Ditto if you really like the career series, since it seems this is the only one available now. But don't expect too much from the accessories.

I purchased this for my 4year old daugther the only problem is that i was forced to buy the afican american one.I'd wanted thehispanic one so that she can identify with her roots. It's a great gift for alittle one.

Can't go wrong with Barbie stuff. However, when pricing toys (I did email Toys r us about the difference too--)
