Will this work on a 6-point mexican strat tremelo? if they did you'd think fender would include on the mexis - but they don't!

No. It does not work on my 2001 Mexican Fender either. Like the other comments say, the spring falls right thru the hole. Very disappointing, I love my Mexi Strat but this is NOT a fix.

would these work on a squier affinity series?

As long as your arm is threaded, yes they will work. A word of caution, those springs are so strong I had to cut it down about 1/3 to 1/2 of it's height, because you need to get the arm far enough into the tremolo hole so the threads don't show. That way, there is more arm inside the hole so it does not get to much pressure in one spot.

Are these springs original, made by Fender?

They came in a Fender package and do the job nicely on my squire standard strat.

Would this fit a '97 Crafted in Japan '62 reissue bridge?

Not sure but I fitted a spring to each of my 1989 Strat plus delux and my 2013 Roland ready Mexican strat successfully. After a gig I remove the trem arm and cover the hole with a bit of tape to stop the spring coming out. (just in case it does). I found it gives the trem arm more feel, ie the effect of the tremelo is more responsive and stays where it is parked when not needed. Sycamore0_2

Bought these to keep in my guitar tech case for trem units on Strat-style guitars. Just pop one into the trem bar hole on the bridge and they add a little tension to the trem bar so you don't have to tighten it all the way up to keep it in place, the tension of the spring does the work.

Finalmente la leva non balla più, le molle sono originali infatti funzionano perfettamente. Ci tengo a precisare che la leva non scenderà più verso il basso per effetto della gravità, ma rimarrà bloccata nella posizione in cui l'avrete rilasciata. Non è scomodo è solo questione di abitudine.
