I am in search of a good chrome powder that doesn't have major yellow undertones, and this sadly is not it. I want a chrome powder for ice nails, meaning I am using it on a clear background. The nails get so yellow and not even a cute pale yellow, but like an old dirty looking clear yellow. It's not good. I even used this on a blue background, thinking it might cancel a little of the yellow out, but it really didn't. It gave the blue nails an unnatural yellow sheen. Like they look good in bright sunlight and that's about it. It only looked good in bright sunlight when it covers the yellow tone. Also the chrome is more subtle than it appears, so you really need 2-3 coats to have a major impact, but the more coats you do, the cloudier the nail gets. Like the nails loose a lot of transparency and start to go opaque. I also don't like the loose powder format, it is so messy and you need the tiniest amounts, so the loose powder is challenging. I spilled this on a natural wood table it was a nightmare to clean up, and got stuck in the natural grain of the wood.My other issue is this is saying mermaid/aurora/holographic. This implies dual-chrome like pigment which appears a different color when you move the nail different angles. This is not that. This also ties into what I said earlier with not having a major impact. There are a couple colors which do have 2 pigments in them, but its not shift chrome color. Rather when you move the nails a certain way, you get no holographic impact and just the yellow undertone, and then you move the nail back and you get both pigments at that one angle.I think if you want to add something a little interesting to an existing color maybe these could do it for you, but you'd have to be careful with pairing certain chrome colors with certain nail colors to try and cancel that yellow cloudy tone. Also don't expect a true holographic impact. I have been doing my nails a while now and love the aurora and ice nails, so I want something much more impactful and much more transparent and clear, and this is not it for me sadly.

The media could not be loaded.  Cute results but the amount that comes in this jar isn’t worth the amount we pay. For regular chrome I get much more then what was given in these jars and I pay nearly the same amount.

I used this product on the acrylic nails I did. I would post pictures but the picture doesn’t do it justice (i’m fairly new to doing my own acrylics) I love that it came with applicators. The product is kinda compacted so make sure and shake it or tap it on the table your doing your nails. All in all works well super cute and shiny and the colors are visible.

I wish there was more powder in the containers. Very simple to use and leaves the nails looking beautiful! They definitely give a pear like finish with a little glitter to sparkle. My customers loves the mermaid look. Very beautiful for wedding nails! I wish they didn’t go up on the prices but I will continue to buy these. Oh and I do hope they add some more colors soon.

I will say I tested 5 of the colors (red, yellow, green, blue, purple) and they work but they are NOT duochrome as pictured. They reflect a linear color, but still make a nice "iced" nail.The size isn't very big but they should last a while.
