For the price it is GREAT. Fit my knife perfect. Not a thick leather; but for the money it is well worth it.

I had bought a Cutco knife and I take it camping. I needed something to put it to protect it and also protect my bag from getting cut from the blade. Its a little big for the knife but the little strap holds it in nicely. Works perfectly for what I need it for. The leather also feels pretty great and durable. Great value for the money.

Fits an 8” chef knife very well, however snap enclosure will not reach the snap with knife inserted. Beautiful leather sheath that provides protection for knife and when knife is stored

It seems sturdy enough. I purchased this for a chef's knife and it fits. It is about $5.00 cheaper then the competition.

Well made knife sheath! I go this for my wife who is a chef and it fits her 8" chef knife perfectly. She doesn't want to leave her knife at work so this sheath makes it safe for her to put it in her backpack without shredding the pack. It's well made and a good deal for the price.

I previously bought the brown version; this dark brown one is thinner and softer than the brown one. The brown one is better.

Fake leather or bad stitching, cut through within a month

I have a chef's knife that is a little different than the classic chef's knives. It has a Japanese shape. It came with a plastic sheath, but the tip of the knife would stick out a little from the end and I poked myself with it. I ordered this sheath for better protection. The knife fits into the sheath perfectly and snugly. The entire sharp edge and the point are covered. I now feel this beautiful knife is safe to carry around. I really like this leather knife sheath.

Seems well made on first impression. Good alternative to bulky knife blocks. Good for small drawers. If they last they'll be worth the price.

The clasp does not hold the knife tightly enough, the heel of the knife is easily exposed so it’s no good if you’re transporting a Japanese knife or any knife with an exposed edge on the heel. It would work fine for a German knife with a large bolster at the heel. If the leather clasp fit tighter it would be 5 stars
