What color is this iodine supposed to be? Mine is clear and I had never seen clear iodine. Why is it clear?

Hello Mirana. Yes the Iodine is supposed to be clear with a very light amber hue. To clarify, “nascent” Iodine defines the presence of monoatomic/atomic Iodine. Which is in essence Iodine in its negative ionically charged state – or its most energetic state in which it is ready to actively bind and ionically bond within the body. It can be both clear and reddish. The reddish forms different forms of polyiodides of I-3, I-5 or I-7 blended with vegetable glycerin or alcohol. We use ionic Iodine suspended in water.

Is this derived from potassium iodide?

NO. it is actual mineral deep earth sourced iodine.
