Can you use bonemeal to plants that are already established?

Definitely you can use bonemeal around mature plants, just be careful not to get it too close to the main stem of the plant. I put it on my Iris every year as it encourages healthier rhizomes and bigger flowers. It's basically a good all around natural fertilizer for all perennials except those which like a more acid soil. Hope this helps.
