Great product
This works great. I live in an area where the humidity can ruin a hairstyle in seconds it feels like, but when I do this treatment, the humidity hardly touches it. I've seen reviews where people are talking about the smell of the product, but I have never gotten a bad smell. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I love the fact that I can do it from the comfort of my own home, and not have to go somewhere to spend $$$ and sit in a salon to get it done.

Works well
I was skeptical but after reading a lot of reviews I thought I would give it a try. My hair is severely damaged from years of bleaching, drying, straightening. Now that I’m a little older I try to wash my hair every 3-4 days and don’t dry or straighten unless I’m going out somewhere special. You can see that my hair is smooth and of course straight after using this. I normally have a little wave and my hair is super frizzy after drying, even straightening. However, I did mess up the process. Lol so I might try again in a few days to see if there’s any difference. I was going by the instructions on Amazon rather than the bottle. When it says “remove excess” I assumed this is just taking a towel And wiping your hair. As I was blow drying I noticed my hair was so stiff and sticky and barely could get a brush through it. The same when it came to straightening. When I realized I don’t think it should be this sticky, I decided to read the bottle which specifically says to “rinse excess” once I rinsed, my hair was much more manageable and I then completed the dry and straighten process….. again… lol leaving me with nice results. ☺️ PS- the scent is not too bad, it’s not the best but it’s not terrible and has a bit of a woodsy undertone. I would suggest spraying your hair with a hair perfume after all is done if you really don’t like the smell ☺️ TIP: as I do have blond highlights and read that this can fade or cause redness, I washed my hair with purple shampoo and left it in for 10 min. Then rinsed. This was mentioned in another review and seemed to work, as I did not notice any redness or fading. 👍

Don't BE FOOLED
Hey All. I am NOT ONE that would write to trash a GOOD product, but knowledge is definitely power. I used this product KERATIN OGYX the first time back , I think around May. I noticed my hair was constantly dry.I have really thick curly hair ,and when I passed my hands through my hair I noticed it was dry and would break off after I did this and was also FALLING OUT IN CLUMPS (I thought it was me that I did not reuse the product when I needed to😡)Never realized it was not me but the keratin from OGXY is the reason that this was happening 🙄. I decided to purchase another bottle , thinking I needed to reuse the product, never bothering to research the ingredients in this product, but when I used it and realized my hair was still breaking and dry.i decided to research this product, to MY DISGUST THIS HAS 1 OF THE WORST THING YOU CAN PUT IN YOUR HAIR ETHYL ALCOHOL.🤬OMG this is just as bad as formaldehyde. I am so ANGRY AND UPSET. I DID my second use of this product on Sunday.I am NOT SURE HOW I AM going to repair this Damage.but its sad I have almost loss most of my BEAUTIFUL natural curly hair.its now thin and weak from this product (please read the info on GOOD AND BAD ALCOHOL from VOICE OF HAIR.TRUST i wish I had FONE MY DUE DILIGENCE 😭😭😭😭

3c/4a hair - works great!
This product works really well although finding the instructions was annoying. This is my 4th time doing it and each time my hair stays easy to manage for about 6-8 weeks, depending on how often I wash (2-3x/week due to workouts). I see very minimal shedding and it’s helped my hair grow faster and stay strong. What I found works best is doing a light rinse after the product sits on my hair for 30-40 minutes. Then I blow dry it and straighten, running my straightener over each section at least 4x at 390 degrees F. After letting it sit for 3-4 days I’ll wash and for the next 4-6 weeks, I only need to blow dry my hair. If I straighten at all I do it at 320 degrees max. After those 4-6 weeks I find I do need to straighten it once every few days but it could be because of the extreme humidity here in Florida and the fact that I run outside 4-5x/week. One thing I don’t like is how my hair smells when I wash it after the first few weeks. But I’ll do a leave-in conditioner that smells good, like Coco and Eve, and the smell is hardly noticeable. Overall, it’s a great product and works so well that I don’t mind having to redo the process every 2 months.

I’ll never go to a salon for keratin treatment again!!
This stuff is amazing!! I went into this full of skepticism because I didn’t think at home treatment could ever do what they do at salons and honestly didn’t trust myself to get the job done but let me tell you it worked out beautifully! I was mainly looking for frizz control as I’ve never had a keratin treatment successfully keep my hair straight..until now. My hair came out perfectly straight, no flat iron or blow dryer needed. I let my hair air dry after every shower and it is always straight, shiny, and incredibly soft. Now the downsides.. 1. this stuff itches when it’s processing! It may just be my sensitive scalp so I’ll have to be careful not to get it on my actual scalp next time. 2. You really have to be sure to get out as much excess product as possible before drying because this stuff does really weigh your hair down. Your hair is going to feel pretty weird for 3 days but trust the process, it will be worth the wait! 3. This one is the biggest con for me and it’s the SMELL! It’s not too bad during application but when you wash it out, it will stink bad! By the second shower, my hair smelt normal again thank goodness but that initial odor is pretty unpleasant. All in all, this product is a must buy! If they ever fix the odor, the 4 stars will turn into 5.

Beautiful Hair - Smells Terrible
There is a lot to like about this product. It gave me beautiful hair that withstood humidity. It lasted for 4 months, made my hair straight and frizz free, and there is enough in the bottle for 2 treatments if you have shoulder length hair or shorter. It also smelled fine during processing. The smell came later and it was bad. It made my hair smell like something died and was decaying. It stank worse when wet, but also smelled bad when dry. I kept having to change my pillow cases because the smell made me gag. It did fade with time and was gone after about a month, but I threw out the rest of the bottle rather than experiencing that again. If the scent could be improved, it would be a perfect product.

Salon Quality
Update:12/20… I have washed my hair for the first time after the initial instructions, and this is the outcome! Still shiny still very manageable no frizz! My hair is healthy. No sign of damage! Ordering again absolutely. The pictures that are now on my review are fresh from today after I did my hair. And for definition, that meant, I’d let my hair actually air dry from last night and lightly used a hair dryer this afternoon in between conference calls and put a little flat iron to it. First, let me tell you that I have a fabulous hairdresser and stylist! The keratin treatments that I was getting, two times a year that last closer to five months is $100 an ounce. The steps that are used to administer the treatment are the same exact steps that this one bottle for under $60 directs. About me, I have an Italian mother and my father is African-American so my hair is complicated. Lol. The middle of my room head seems to want to grow more coarse hair, then the hair that frames my face, but the hair that is that the back of my neck is much softer so in essence, I have three different patterns. I-desperately needed a protein treatment, and with my schedule being how it has been, reading the product reviews on this Christmas had me willing to try. When I tell you, my hair looked like and felt like what it normally does leaving my friends chair, I tell you that she would be floored. The same rules of engagement applies to using this as going to a professional. Do not aggravate your scalp prior. Know the time in between when you want your hair, dyed a color, and if the color requires the lightning, that also plays in factor to using a keratin treatment. I follow the directions as stated, even using the technique of combing in the keratin like my stylist does. I will say not to freak out my hair, I washed and conditioned it, step one the day before, and let it air dry. I had to finish up in the morning with a hairdryer, because my hair is thick . I applied a product like directed and step to clipped it up and put on a disposable shower cap and left it on for about 45 minutes. I rinsed out the excess in the shower as step three indicated, and proceeded to blow dry. I will say because it did not indicate using any other product like a detangler. You have to be careful when blow drying. Using wide tooth comb to help those with longer locks and pack your patience. But do you know what happens when you follow the directions? It was like magic. My hair was so so soft and extremely shiny. My husband and mother was shocked with the turn out. They were begging me not to try it, but when you don’t have $900 to spend on hair during an unforgiving economy, you do what you need to do. The bottle does not promise that the results will last as long as the one from the salon, but completely manageable to do at home again in 12 weeks or less. I wish I took a before and after picture, but I will tell you that I am ordering this product again.

Great Brazillian Blowout Alternative!
Y'all, my hair is drying as if I got a brazillian blowout for literally a tenth of the price! I didn't quite follow the instructions as listed, and I followed more of what I've seen my hair stylists do when I've gotten brazillian blowouts at the salon. Instead of rinsing extra product out before blowdrying + flat ironing, I left it in. I did apply a TON of product to my hair, and maybe used 100 pumps on my whole head, going piece by piece. For reference, I have a lot of hair, it's pretty over-processed with bleach and heat tools, and it's just thick an wavy and frizzy. I think in the future I will rinse the excess product before heat styling, because doing so with so much extra product in was very difficult and took way longer. Because the hair was so saturated with dried product by the time I started blowdrying, it was tangling very easily, and I was afraid I was going to cause damage by ripping my brush through. The other thing I did before applying the product, was leave Olaplex puprle shampoo in my hair for probably 7-8 minutes. This is longer than I usually do (1-2 min), because I read a review that if your hair is lightened blonde this product will turn it orange. After I shampooed, my hair was definitely a little bit purple in parts. But by the time I finished blowdrying and straigtening each strand 10-15x, the purple color faded and lifted to a nice light blonde tone that I'm happy with. This is because heat opens up the hair shaft and allows color to escape. If you have bleached hair like me, I would DEFINITELY recommend doing this, because I could literally see the hair getting warmer away from purple and into blonde with each stroke of the flat iron. I didn't mind the smell, but then again I'm used to the way Brazillian Blowouts smell and honestly probably even associate the smell with relief that my crazy unruly mane has been tamed... lol. I did experience a bit stinging/ itching when the product touched my skin, but it wasn't so bad, and it quickly resolved. It made my eyes water for a fraction of a second at only one point while straigtening. All in all, this product did a great job of giving me silky smooth and straight hair, almost as flawless as if I got a Brazillian Blowout professionally done. I definitely recommend!
