Seems secure and easy enough to use
Product seems like it is pretty durable and has secured my SUP pretty well; easy enough to use. I also purchased the thick cable w combo lock made to go with it and they seem to fit well together (have to use a little force to pull cable through lock, but thickness of cable is what prevents the lock from opening so seems to work just as designed). Satisfied with my purchase.

Depends on your leash plug bar diameter
This product works great with the right diameter plug bar and I recommend buying the cable lock with the product. If you have a standard horizontal roof or bed rack and want the best security, I highly recommend the Lashlock (or similar product when used correctly), which I also own and use when I've got the roof rack on the truck. My older boards have more girthy leash plug bars to clamp the jaw around, and cannot be pried off. My new boards have smaller diameter leash plug bars, and with a little twisting, I can pry it off the docklock by hand. If the hole of the clamp was smaller, it would work great. However, it is a great idea and I've found a few ways to make it work for me. I can't get the lock around the bar with the leash cord girth hitched, but if it's only threaded through straight and tied, there is a lot of exposed leash plug bar. Having a lot of exposed bar allows the clamp to be rotated along the axis of the bar, and the clamp jaws can be pryed open just by moving it in this way. Instead, take the leash cord and wrap it around twice, then tie it off, so that the minimum amount of bar is exposed, just enough to get the clamp on. This makes it much harder to pry off, and probably takes too long for the petty thief to mess with and figure out. I'm happy enough with this setup. It works great for my motorcycle surf rack and my pickup truck bed , where I cannot lock to a standard horizontal roof rack. I recommend buying the cable lock with the product. I regret not doing so, so I can't provide a review on the cable. I've tried very hard to find other cable locks to fit through the ring and can't find any. I end up putting a padlock on each docklock, and locking to a cable. Padlocks aren't very girthy, and the ones that are (like my Kryptonite NYC lock shackle), are too girthy to fit through the ring. You will probaby get a more secure fit with the docklock cable.

It works! I can lock my hard sup now.
Not cheap, but it works! I can lock my hard supboard now. It can stay on the car roof, secured. Or you can leave it somewhere along shore to get your car.

Does what they say
This lock does as advertised. I use two of them on my SUPs. I am confident that they could be twisted or broken off without a tremendous effort, but the boards would have to be damaged to get these things off. I think for the ease of use and security provided, they were a good investment for peace of mind. The opening is very small. I did not buy their lock and had a very difficult time finding a cable that would fit.

Nice product.
These little guys are great. You have to loosen the rope around the anchor point to that you attach your leash to. Once you give it a little slack, you can then slide these in and attach them to the anchor bar. They work just great. I've used it to attach lock boards on the ground to a post and to lock boards to my car while they are on the roof.
