830-9907 Cal-Tint II 16-Ounce Colorants, Lamp Black

I added a small amount to satin lacquer and sprayed it onto some furniture I was making. I had previously tried lots of ways to stain my wooden furniture black and they all came out blotchy and inconsistent. Several coats of lacquer with just a little of this mixed in and a quick sand with 400 grot paper and it looks like shop bought furniture. What a great finish, consistently black over the entire piece with a lovely soft sheen. This product worked amazingly well.

I used the whole bottle to turn a light pinkish red to a rich dark brownish burgundy for 4 five gallon buckets of exterior latex paint. Mixes fine and worked as expected. I kept having to add more tint but it depends on your starting base color so you're mileage may vary.

We bought this so that we could tint a 5 gallon bucket of paint to a dark gray and it worked amazingly saved us a lot of money

It mixes in easily and colors uniformly.

The product is fine, but I wish it had come with the top shown in the photo. Mine came with just a screw on cap and I would have preferred what was shown for easier measuring.

Exactly what we ordered. Exactly what was pictured. Even showed up little sooner than they thought, which was a bonus.

As a colorant for some white concrete repair material, this was great for matching the concrete. USE SPARINGLY! A little goes a long way, as in a half teaspoon turning a quart of white paste medium gray.

Red is a Good color, good price. Don't buy the yellow. It's terrible and doesn't do the job it's meant for. I ended up with a thinned out paint in my effort to get the tint I needed. Not concentrated enough. I wasted my money on that particular pigment. I'm disappointed since I know some brands of tint are a great thing to have on hand when you do interior painting on a regular basis.
