A new series of prose novels, straight from the worldwide Naruto franchise. Naruto’s allies and enemies take center stage in these fast-paced adventures, with each volume focusing on a particular clan mate, ally, team…or villain. When Kakashi sets off on a mission to the lush land of Redaku, he encounters its people suffering from a severe drought. The prince of Redaku can bring water to the land, but he has left his royal home for another village. When Kakashi locates the prince, he discovers a more elaborate plot long in the works that involves the fates of both Redaku and Konoha. Review: Excellent Kakashi story. - I didn't particularly like Kakashi Hiden, but this book is so, so good. This book is heavily about Kakashi being a teacher, not just an amazing ninja. It's also ONLY about Kakashi and his student. It doesn't need to throw in a ton of other characters to carry the story and the action scenes are not overly complex, just Kakashi being awesome all by himself. It also touches on his childhood trauma as well. This book was a home run for Kakashi fans IMHO. Review: Very good start to the Retsuden series. Updated 8/9/24 - I think this novel actually did a good job discussing Kakashi, as compared to the earlier Kakashi Hiden. After finishing the entire Retsuden Series, I find myself enjoying this opening title of the trilogy the most. It does well as a standalone too. It's worth a read for any Naruto fan. Updated 8/9/24: after comparing the original text in Japanese, there are some discrepancies or lines omitted in each of the scenes involving Kakashi and Iruka throughout the book. Personally I think those keyword changes and omissions do change the tone of the scenes. Considering those same words and concepts are translated correctly in Naruto Retsuden, I am not sure why these discrepancies exists in this book.

Excellent Kakashi story that fills in some gaps
All the Naruto side-story books are good but I really enjoy the Kakashi ones because I feel like he is just such a well-rounded character with so much backstory. I hope they make like a dozen more like this.

Great first novel in the Retsuden series!
I ordered 4 of these books. This book gives a deeper understanding into Kakashi's reign as Hokage and all the things that he accomplished while also showing how he is doing since handing over the title to Naruto. This is a cannon Must read novel definitely worth reading especially if you're a Kakashi fan

Excellent for Kakashi's fan
With this novel we know more about Kakashi's contribution to Konoha during his Hokage period. Also his years of training did pay off, making him become one of the most powerful Hokage in the history of Hidden Leaf Village. Highly recommend.

A thousand times better than the ice shiden
Absolutely loved this, it pays such respect to kakashi's character as well as giving deep insights into his thoughts and motivations. Compared to this the ice blimp shiden book was a badly written fanfic. I really hope there are plans to have this put into manga at the very least but preferably an anime adaptation! There is so much to work with in this series, I'd love to see it one day.

Super consigliato

Essential Reading for Kakashi Fans
If you're a fan of Naruto, and a fan of Kakashi in particular, you probably want to add this to your book collection. I preferred Lightning in the Frozen Sky, but this is still a good read for Kakashi fans.

Really good book .
It's really good to read if you want kakashi's solo adventure. Also you can read the lightening in the frozen sky but this is also good for reading .
