It works more as a translucent and gives a lovely quality to my ceramic pieces that others ask how the effect was achieved. Using different base colors under this paint will change the effects of the same color.

I love the creamy consistency! I am enjoying the color variety. I feel it is a great value because it is so easy to use. I have been using this with my gel plates…. Love the blending. When it comes down to it, it really comes from the paint quality. I love this brand of paints. I buy them almost exclusively.

Great paints, love this brand. Fresh amazing paints, just needed to write the names on each. They aren't exactly as pictured. Also pictured is scarlet red, that wasn't in mine; I received "rose madder" a204 instead

I hoped to find a brand of acrylic paint with metallic or pearlized colors that worked well on a gelli plate and is cheaper than using Golden Acrylic paints which I usually use. These paints are more like craft paints than professional paints and are very sheer. It takes 3 or more coats of this paint to become somewhat opaque. This can be both good and bad. Sometimes it is better to have sheer paint because you can see the colors below. But these were particularly sheer when I rolled them onto the gelli plate with a brayer. I am going to continue using them for some purposes but wish these were a little more opaque. That said, the selection of colors are wonderful! I am giving these 4 stars for a craft paint because there are others that are somewhat more opaque and would serve my purposes. Don't mistake these for professional quality acrylic paints but they have their uses and are a good price.

Mixes well and really took my creativity up a notch. The colors are opaque and gorgeous. Not really heavy bodied but beautiful on canvas and wood!
