My new go to protein
I have been using Jay Robb protein for a few years. After an article on heavy metals and contaminants in name brand proteins came out I did a little research into Jay Robb. Unfortunately they do not publish their heavy metal or contamination report anywhere. Antler Farms was listed as a very clean protein without contaminants (but expensive according to the article. Itโs still less than Jay Robb though). So I thought I would give them a try. Jay Robb has also been in some kind of strange soul searching. He now wears a weird bandana on his product marketing. Does he want to be a biker, a guru, a rockstar? Iโm not really interested in financing his mid life crisis especially if Iโm unsure about what is in his protein. Speaking of what is in the protein, I will say that both are whey isolates with high protein value per scoop, low cholesterol, very easy on the stomach and sweetened with Stevia (both were vanilla flavored). Taste: I would give Jay Rob a 9.5. Antler farms an 8.5. Good but not quite as good as Jay Robb. Mixability: Jay Robb 10, Antler Farms 8. After my bike rides I would usually use my cycling water bottle, fill it up half way, drop in a scoop of Jay Robb and shake it maybe 15 -20 times and it is totally dissolved. The Antler Farms takes more work and Iโve gone to a shaker bottle with the little springy metal ball inside to help. With that it totally dissolves in about 15 - 20 shakes. Antler Farms is very very good and I think I will keep using it unless Jay Robb can convince me that they do testing for lead, cadmium, etc.

So tasty
I have been trying so many of the protein powders since I started my weight loss journey. I was basically trying all of the top rated vanilla whey protein isolate powders by reading reviews and seeing what checked the box. It was beginning to get daunting as many of the brands do not offer small batches. I found a guy named James Kremmer โProtein Review Guyโ recently after reading a review on Naked Whey. He has a background in sports nutrition and gives comprehensive review on powders. He listed Antler Farms as a top 3 in grass-fed protein that is actually from New Zealand. The taste is on point with this one and we can count on New Zealand having way more strict farming regulations than the US. It mixes really well. No Stevia aftertaste and is smooth. This is the second powder that I tried that I wish was a little creamier/thicker but itโs an isolate so it wonโt be as rich as a concentrate and I am assuming itโs a sign that the company is using less thickening agents, as they can cause GI upset. Overall, I am very happy with this isolate despite the price point. I am consuming this everyday so I think you have to accept higher prices with protein to verify what youโre consuming is potent and free of anything harmful. I am going to try Earthfed Muscle after this and probably stop sampling unless something else comes out in Vanilla with a solid reputation. I hope this helps someone. I rely so heavily on reviews and try to give back when my 3 year old will allow!

Awesome taste. Worth the extra money.
Expensive? Yes, Worth it? Yes. I have tried dozens of whey protein powders over the years. All sweetened with stevia. This vanilla flavored whey by Antler Farms is hands down the best whey protein isolate I have ever tasted. It's not too sweet, no funny smell, mixed well with my ingredients and I had no stomach upset. My NEW go to protein powder. I highly recommend.

Truly clean ingredients!
This is the best protein powder! Itโs honestly the only one I have found that does not cause me hormonal acne. It doesnโt disrupt my hormones, probably because itโs clean! The flavor isnโt very strong, but itโs still not bad- the biggest win is that it doesnโt mess up my hormones. Iโve bought this several times now.

VERY Excited to Finally Find a Great Protein Powder!
First Impression: So excited to finally land on a protein powder that has all the elements I was looking for! I have suffered excessive hair fall after losing 40 lb (over 10% of my total body weight) within a matter of months! Very disconcerting, especially for a woman who's always prided herself on a long thick healthy mane. So I am taking a number of factors into consideration, and taking steps to make sure I am getting my daily suggested grams of protein per pounds of body weight! Also working on developing more muscle-mass so this product will be a great adjunct to my nutrition. Interesting to note that lack of adequate high quality protein is one of the most aging things your body can experience along with all the obviously negative aging things people do to themselves like excessive alcohol, sugar, salt, overly refined and heavily processed foods etc! Happy it's sourced from New Zealand grass-fed cows! Now here's one if my recipes for deliciousiousness: 1/2 c. organic whole milk (frozen), 1/2 cup non-frozen whole grassfed , 1/2 c. organic coconut milk (frozen), a few drops of vanilla extract, frozen organic naval orange wedges,1 or 2 organic pitted dates, favorite protein powder, favorite hydrolyzed collagen powder, some of your favorite nuts...blend into a fabulously delicious shake!

Best Whey Protein I've Had
Whey protein is a tricky one. Most whey based protein powders give me stomach cramps. My chiropractor recommended this brand because they are very clean and usually easier to digest. My father and I gave it a try. He got the chocolate flavor and I stuck with the vanilla. There are four ingredients (which is hard to beat unless you go unflavored). It's flavored with stevia, which tends to make things very sweet. It is sweet, but I don't find it unbearable. I'm used to vegan proteins, which tend to have a few more ingredients to account for protein. Upon opening, the protein looks very fine and powdery. I had no problem mixing it with some nut milk/water and a shaker ball. It is expensive, but most protein powders are expensive. You could always supplement with the unflavored protein if you need more protein (as those tend to be cheaper). I I'm okay with splurging on clean, quality products, as I know my body will thank me later. As for taste, the vanilla is pretty decent and basic. It tastes like vanilla. I do think I prefer the chocolate, however, I have been using both when I want a shake in the morning. I mix a scoop of one flavor, with a little of the other, and blend it with some kind of milk (usually walnut milk), ice, and fiber. I found this gives it a thicker consistency and I can eat some of it with a spoon. My tastebuds do get confused, because it tastes like ice cream. I also find having ricecakes with something on the salty side after helps balance the sweetness of it. I don't do this everyday, but it is a nice change. I haven't used it much, so I can't account for cramps quite yet. We seem to be okay, thus far. I will continue to update as I experiment with this protein to make sure my stomach stays less crampy and that I can mix with other items (like overnight oats, chia seeds, or protein ball).

Perfect for my needs
At 70+ years old I know how important it is to consume enough protein to retain muscle mass. I have found the Antler Farms Whey Protein Isolate to be perfect for this purpose, especially for breakfast meals. I add a scoopful to my smoothies or iced coffee and it's delicious. However, I've learned that it doesn't blend well with liquid unless it's whisked in a small amount of liquid (or placed in blender) first. That said, those 26 grams of protein keep me full for hours without adding a lot of extra calories. It's a great product in my opinion and worth the higher cost for its high quality and excellent taste.
