The book is hilariously self aware without overdoing it. The characters are very interesting and there's a nice balance between comedy, drama and romance.

Bought all 4 and this one came a bit battered compared to the others. Art is beautiful and I already know the story is good

I can't wait for the 4th part. There's probably going to be less action than this but I'm I'm looking forward to it

El libro es muy muy bueno, parece ser el final de la saga y creo que es bastante justo. Vi muchas reseñas por allí que hablaban de que era malo o apresurado o que esperaban algo más romántico o bonito, pero creo que si mantienes en mente la clase de libro que siempre fue The Proud Inmortal Demon Way, el resultado es incluso satisfactorio en comparación. Es una obra bastante divertida e ingeniosa que juega con la cuarta pared y las diferentes narrativas, con personajes que parecen simples pero que tienen sus propias motivaciones, mismas que se mantienen fieles al estilo cómico y atrevido que la autora nos mostró desde el inicio. Realmente recomiendo leer toda la saga y analizarla a profundidad porque tiene mucho que ofrecer

OMG!! What an ending! I waited all year to finish this series in English, hunted online for translations but they're never quite as clear, and now that I finally got to read the complete story I am in awe! (Except for the book of extras which I've already pre-ordered and is coming out this Fall). I love the characters SQQ and LBH and their many misunderstandings. I've read many crossover books where real live people ended up in books, fantasy places, games, etc. but never the way this author took us through the journey. Through Shen Yuan's point of view as he becomes the Scum Villain Shen Qingqiu, we get the hilarious rundown of his dissing the author of the lame book he's stuck in, there are arguments with the System which sent him into this world and requires he obey certain rules which he's set on finding ways around despite everything, and then there are the multitude of misunderstandings between him and the protagonist, Lou Binghe, who he's pretty sure according to the original book will "make him into a human stick." What he doesn't understand is that the very fact that he is in the book has subtly altered its direction and his influence on all the characters becomes more and more evident as you continue to read until what you thought was inevitable gets thrown out the window in a major reveal and Shen has to back up and start thinking in a completely new direction that never in his wildest dreams would've occurred to him. This series is hilarious, heart warming, sad, redeeming and shocking at the end, yet it is quite satisfying. Warning to those who don't like gay men... don't read this since there is one explicit scene. That's why it's rated 17+. However, for those who enjoy danmei and know what it is, this is a lighthearted delightful read well worth picking up, as are all Mo Xiang Tong Siu's books. I've started collecting all the English versions of her books; Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, Heaven Official's Blessing AND Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, and can't wait for the rest of the English versions to come out so I can complete my set!! Great author, good books!!
