Great for the price
If you're looking for a $400 rack for $150, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a good rack at a reasonable price, this is a pretty good one. As others recommended, I sealed all joints with calking, and painted all welds with rust-oleum. This added about $15 US. I have used the rack for 6 months in all US Rocky Mountain weather, and I have very little rust. I also removed the plastic hand nut tighteners, and cut the u-bolts off below the rack on the attachment brackets. I left about 1/4 inch or 6 mm of u-bolt threads above the nuts when rack is installed, and nuts are tight. This keeps the rack contents from being damaged by the u-bolts or plastic hand nut tightens sticking up above the bottom of the rack tubes.

Took the punishment of a 7000 km road trip and survived intact
I bought this to carry my two 20L Jerry cans of gasoline and extraction tools while on my 7000 km on/off-road trip in northern BC, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. The only gripe is the way the clamps fit to the vehicle crossbar. The wing nuts protrude into the cargo space. I had to add thin pieces of plywood so that the bottoms of the Jerry cans were not compromised and punctured. Having said that, though the unit performed well and I was impressed with its ruggedness.

I installed this product in Canada two weeks ago. I just got to Florida and every single soldering is rusted.

Great, sturdy, slim roof racj
Intuitive assembly. Great size so I can also fit our kayak rack on top of our Tucson. Sturdy brackets, good material.

Half the price and just as nice.
Fit nice on my 2022 Maverick using the Yakima roof rail attachment, setup was simple and it gave us all the space we needed for a long family trip, and because this is slim I had enough room on the side of my rack for an additional cargo box. I think this is just as durable as it’s competitor racks, but its a fraction of the cost. It’s a no brained- get this one if the size looks like something you are looking for. I had a tent, 4 chairs and a duffle bag in this thing (used a cargo net to hold it all in) and it worked perfect and saved up a bunch of space. It was great.
